  • 1993 325is m3 swap

Whats up guys my name is John. Im from southwest Missouri. Im in the process of swapping m3 motor , transmission, reared, brakes, well basically all the running gear. I also got some goodies along with it full ground control suspension, and headers and full exhaust.

What the m3 donor car look liked after the city i live in was hit by a tornado last may.

Cool picture from the night i brought the 325 home.

s50 and transmission setting on the floor waiting to go in

The night i brought the 325 home and moved the m3 shell out.

The 325 with the m3 drivetrain and suspension swapped over.

Ups split my wheels up lol. Wish they were type 1 racing but they'll work

The car all put together test fitting everything before I paint it all.

Doing a little bit of interior work

The interior isn't what I would have expected, but I like it!! I love they you built it from a shell. Quality control ftw!!! What color are your repainting it?

The interior was from the M3 it was a lux car. The tan leather door panel inserts had seen better days. I wanted yellow plaid but everything the fabric store had was full of blues and greens. This is what I went with. lol Its different for sure. Im planning to paint it back yellow for this year since its just panels that need painted. I would love to paint the car laguna seca blue over next winter.

O ok cool man! yea I'm all for the different things i.e. my build. I'm glad the yellow's staying , because it pops and it's better than the typical red or black e36's

Cool your building something awesome from a crappy situation. I grew up in KC not far from you.

Actually I dated a girl from Joplin, can't remember her name but she was a pretty successful model.

Yeah man it was a very crappy situation. I was lucky enough to not be personally affected but a very good friend of mine lost his home. KC is a very cool town like it up there a lot. If it stops raining tomorrow I'll go get some better shots of the car for you guys.

My wife does a little bit of photography and wanted to take some pictures of the car tonight. I got some decent ones out of it. Would look a lot better if it was all one color! Lol
