Bet you were going through oil pans weren't you? lol.

Le photoshoot ....I did this like last tuesday but I'm just now posting them lol.

...and sadly we shall bring this chapter to a close, cause now I have plans to sell the car. This past friday I got my car towed from the downtown area (such a stupid situation) and after retrieving it on saturday, I hear this loud squeaking noise on the driver side that would vibrate the whole car at 3000 rpm. It sounds like a suspension part is loose but idk what part it is.

Spent all yesterday trying to find the noise but no luck. At that point, it was a dealbreaker for me. I got out of my first car of 5 years to get away from dealing with constant fixing and maintenance. It would be nice to finally have a car that i don't have to worry about fixing one problem after another, after another.

So seeing this may cause me an unnecessary amount of stress just from trying to fix it, I'm gonna get up out under it and sell it. I'm disappointed it had to come to this, but life ain't worth trying to solve problems for something that shouldn't cause you problems.

I will be selling the wheels and coilovers soon. So if you want a legit set of style 5's in 5x112, PM me.

          One large ass update:

Hello all! So first off, like many others on here and elsewhere, I decided NOT to sell my car. Just keep it and settle with what I got. Next year, I'll just save up for a project car or something.....

....anywho, since that last post I've done a lot and been through some not-so-great times with my b5.

While in that process of "trying to sell" my car around may, I decided to address some issues. I didn't have any a/c since I owned the car since this Feb and it turns out the PO wired in some bullshit plug to the a/c clutch relay

          said plug:

          the wire in question:

          ...for what? I dunno -___-

After fixing most of the annoying issues, it's been treating me well since but during that time I've gotten offers on trades and I even got an offer on an e36 with M3 bits and a motor swap. For about 2 weeks I've thought about the pros and cons on doing the trade and after test driving it, it felt like a reliable car.

Thing is, I wasn't sure about the motor swap, owner said there was 120k on the motor and Idk how many miles he's put on it since then. So after thinking about it, i decided to keep my a4 instead.

Where I last had it around may:

Drove it stock for about a month in june....

.....And put the coilovers back on as of 3nd week of july:

The car still have some issues, but what old car doesn't? The issues aren't annoying, now that I know what they are. It's mainly the case of parts wearing out over 10 years. So I don't think I'll be able to rest until I fix whatever is deciding to rot or break on their own.

...but it doesn't mean I can't have fun

Converted a jar full of change:

          to these rolls

          and got these things:
          boost gauge

led turn signals for the front w/ resistors. All from eBay, go figure.

Decided to clear out my headlights:

....and I re-polished them too, don't worry. lol

          What used to be reflectors...

          Wiring in the resistors:

Cut out a vent to fit the gauge in

scored a pretty good set of 205/40 Falken 512's for $20 from a friend

After riding around at 22 1/4 with that stop sign as a skid plate, I thought I'd use another sign for better coverage:

it somewhat worked but it kept scraping a lot :

So I took it off to do more work to it.

          Then the inevitable happened....again

Around the same time I was going to H2oi (I was flying to there anyways). So I bought a new oil pan and with the time it took for me to put on and to work up the motivation to remove something so simple , it took me 2 weeks to do, so don't judge me lol.

Around that time, I tested a color idea for the wheels

...and right then, it was decided.

Next, I was originally shave the valve cover for a smooth look when polished, but me not knowing how to do it, came out pretty bad

So I painted it instead. A wrinkle black finish:

(i'll have a better pic of the finished product later)

after replacing the oil pan, I raised the car to a quarter inch while waiting for the Evo Thor plate to come in
Got tired of breaking pans and replacing them AND working on making road signs to fit.

          Thor plate:

50% thicker than the Panzer and with free shipping from boraparts.com, which makes it cheaper than any one else selling either skid plate. Can't beat that!
          Link for those interested: http://shopping.boraparts.com/produc...roducts_id=325

Plate on and I feel comfortable speeding......in mexico of course.

Reworked the cracking, fucked up bumper

Painted it and cleared it a couple night later:

Pretty decent job for carefully doing it for the first time, but I'll do it again next week.

After testing out the colors on the faces, I decided to paint the rest the same

          Repolished the lips:

            So thursday night, I.....

Got the wheels and Tires mounted.

how they looked that night after a meet I was rushing to get to:

            .....the morning after:

And yesterday before I took them off:

I'm going to disassemble them again and get the centers powdercoated either this color or some secret metallic color I had planned. Also, when I mounted them thursday night, apparently the front driver wasn't "sitting right" around the hub, so the wheel vibrated like crazy just going 60mph. So I'll need some hub centric rings so they can sit evenly at all the lug holes, instead of it being 1-3 mm off (also another reason why I need to do the wheel stud conversion.)

I changed the color just cause I thought I would do a decent job in painting them myself but they came out alright and the paint is already flaking off in some places. I want them to look legit, not like a quick spray paint job from a 18 yr old noob.

            So what's next?
-re-paint front bumper (I did a good job on that lol)
            -re-align front end
-wrap headliner and some other parts in some fabric
-more maintenance(replace n75, camchain tensioner, replace cat with straight pipe, figure out my trolling coolant temp gauge issue, replace LED cluster screen, replace more sh1t)
-replace rear speakers and add in my sub for more bass
            -wood floor in the trunk.
            -wheel stud conversion (hopefully)
-whatever else I can think of

Yeah I'm waiting on getting the centers powdercoated before I put them back on. Still undecided about the color

yes i will be there and it was just a redrill with pressed in bushings. Looked like it came from the factory just made for 5x112's. It cost me $200 at the time
