The closest to white is either 35w 4300k or 55w 5000k. They are both white but the 55w is brighter. I am waiting to install my DDM 55w 5000k kit on my A4.

Nice build. And 4300K for the hids should put you close to OEM white.

Lol yeah thanks again man! Btw, I love your previous b5 <3 I will lower the front more after I figure out how to mount a stop sign to my subframe lol.

Sometimes, i'm just lazy to update my S/W thread
    Updates:

Some In between pics of my progress.

    before polishing the lips:

    during....

    after

That same night I painted the centers a caramel-peanut butter brown, with a hint of metallic flakes.

I had higher expectations for the color, so i'm already thinking of changing it to a different color.

Process of assembling the wheels together the next day,

    tires mounted that evening:

Polished those hazy headlights with a Turtle wax polishing kit. Pretty legit IMO

    (before: Right side, after: Left)

And current shots of it this morning:

This past weekend I've added a set of 6000k HID for the low beams. It's a bit blue-green-ish for my taste, was hoping for a Xenon bright oem white. So I'm gonna switch down to 5500 or 5000 (which ever i can find first)

So for the next couple of months, my main goal is to work on the little problems and CEL issues I have with the car. I need to replace the LCD gauge cluster screen and cam chain tensioner among other things. Then after all that, probably I'll work on getting a tune and full exhaust done. Who knows from that point on.

A large ass update for S/W records:

I was mainly updating my identical thread on Vortex, if you have an account, follow my thread there: http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthrea...ic-proportions

But for those who browse on here, here's one big ass update.

Finally replaced the radiator with a used one

along with a new fan blade:

Then after replacing those, the coolant temp kept tiling to the "1 o' clock" position but will go back to the middle after driving. After some research, I decided to replace the coolant temp sensor and Thermostat:

....and it still didn't help out. I dunno what it could it be at this point. Everything I can think of is working condition including the new water pump -___-

...anyways, back to the good stuff. Why have polished lips and still have a dirty barrel? So I cleaned them.

a jar of Comet, a green brillo pad, that brass pad thingy and water is all I need to get them looking brand new

My attempt to polish the bolts failed, so Ima paint them gold:

    Then I installed the coilovers:

I found it easier to remove the large three 17 mm (i used a 5/8 spark socket) to getting the old suspension out. Idk how anyone can remove the two 13 mm bolts on the car.....

(the one bolt in the corner is one of them)

Cut bumpstops Because Moar Low. I don't know if had to but I did just in case.

    Switched over the top hats....

    and BAM! Business....

Did both at the same time:

    ...and installed

The results a couple of days later. It had some reverse rake going on but I've adjusted that later on down.

test fitted the five's after getting them re-drilled last monday:

Looks very OEM, so this will make it great for me to resell them once I get bored

Started polishing the lips on tuesday and wednesday, while i was at work, may I mind you:

    and the results:

Painted the centers a caramel brown and the bolts gold:

And after adjusting the reverse rake and the stance, here's the final result:
(from a car show this past saturday)

    From yesterday:

    and this morning:

So what's next? Well now that i've gotten the b5 where i've wanted it looks wise, I can relax and focus on other things. I was thinking of doing a muffler delete this week and adding 6000k hids. Then the rest of month will be to focus on my CEL problem. Further down the road, i'll get a tune and a Diverter Valve aka BOV. Then who knows, probably find a different set of wheels to rock

But fear not, I'm off tomorrow! and even if I have to do it at night, so be it! I've been wanting teh lows for a while and I can't wait any longer. So expect progress soon. Also I'm still working on the wheels, so there's no slacking.
