  • help with e36 build

Im driving a 93 318is e36 and am new to the forum, planning on swapping the m40 for the more sought after s52. (cant stand going slow in a BMW). Been checking out BMRParts.com; they rebuild top quality bmw motors, along with ports and polishes. For what your getting they arent asking for a bad price either.

So aside from motor, brakes, and differentials; what else do i need to look into. I plan to find a 325i that I can rob the brakes off of, should I swap the transmission as well, or is it a direct bolt on?

Find a wrecked m3 and swap over the parts.
    Good luck with the project.

Hey Found a little somethin,somethin.. Check out the link. (Everything you will need for the swap plus step by step!! But like Zic said it's probably best to dig a M3 up out of the Graveyard and swap everything over..

To swap a 318 to a 325i you need a 325i engine loom and gear box and prop you the have to split the 325i prop with the 318i to make it mount to the 318i diff. You also need the 325i instrument cluster so it will rear the revs.
