  • my slow e46 build thread

well im sure most of you guys read my intro thread..figured id start a build thread to up date you guys. this car is my daily driver. i want it lower but the front coilovers will not allow it, so anyways the specs:

    -rokkor tuning coil overs
-BBS LM replicas(i know i know they're replicas.)
-front 18x8.5 et 47 with 10mm spacers and extended bolts
-rear 18x9.5 et 45 with 10mm spacers and extended bolts
    -motor is completely stock
-ddm tuning shift knob and ebrake handle
    -e46 m3 front bumper

    aaannnd on to the pics.

and heres what i got done doing tonight after work..bumper is on, just have to find out away to fit the bumper to the fenders..i still need the fogs, and lower grill..and paint to match. but hey i got the bumper for 0 monies.

and thats it for now..im gonna try and fit the bumper tomorrow at work, but we will see what happens..this car is being built on a budget and its gonna be a long road but i love it let me know what you guys think! all opinions welcome!

How are the rokkor coilovers? why can't you go lower?

            Looking good regardless!

the coilovers are great..im VERY impressed with them and id definately go with them again. and i think the front will not go lower because im using the factory top shock mounts, i think if i bought new top hats it would lower my car another inch. right now i have the coilover as low as it will go, thanks for the compliments guys!

do you still have the helper springs in up front? and the spring perches in the rear? both of those would keep you from going lower. Do you have shorter sway bar endlinks?

rokkors go a lot lower then that. so either you still got helpers/spring perches or they're installed incorrectly

still have the helper springs up front..and the rear can go lower the front wont though. so if i take the helper spring out is my car gonna ride like shit? thats the main reason why i havent taken it out yet

my buddy has an e46 on rokkors. he has the helpers out, stock top mounts, and shorter sway bar endlinks (off of a camry i believe) and he is a little lower then you currently with 40 threads still left to go down.

I had rokkors on my jetta before i sold it. Had helpers in and then took them out. rode exactly the same as it did before i took them out
