I call this chapter in my build "Finally Fitted"

I was never really happy with the fitment I had with my OZ Pegasus. During the winter I planned on widening them which turned into a mad scramble to widen them before Dubs on Defrost because I procrastinated. I am now running 2.5 inch lips all around to create the final specs of 17x9.5 and 17x10. I would tell you the offsets but I don't know them. I had them powder coated white. Getting them powder coated was the worst experience I have ever had involving my car. They had to be redone 4 times, they dropped and bent one of my lips, there is still black spots in the clear and the rear right wheel is already cracking an chipping. I also upgraded my front struts to Airlift Performance series and used the camber plates to dial in about -1 degrees up front to get the wheels to tuck.

Next step is to roll the front fenders, get some thicker sway bars, some Koni rear shocks so I can roll subframe-breaking-low again. I should also install my lip spoiler I've had in my garage for about a year.

updates... I feel like I saw this on a trailer leaving h20i with either broken suspension or serious rear camber.

        Sigh....

        Volkswagen
        Air bags
        Wide wheels

I'm sorry, I just don't get Volkswagen people. I'm going to rip into you (the "scene" (oh god that word)) a little bit. You're 16, LEARN. I'm 17, I've owned three Civics and never ONCE has a shop turned a wrench on any of them throughout my entire time owning them. Banch is full of good people, bla bla bla. (They stretched my tires for me once.) I don't care, work on your own car. You aren't dealing with 15 year old Japanese commuter cars with rusty bolts and frozen bushings, that thing should come apart with EASE. You aren't the only one. Young kids are getting into the VW scene, and doing the same deadly three (vw, bags, wheels) mods that make up a "build." Yeah, your parents pay for everything, whatever. My parents have helped me out on some things too when it came to getting my car to actually drive. I personally think all kids our age should have to ride static, to feel the real pain, start from the bottom; that's just me though. Just some things to consider I guess - do something different, it's a VW. You guys end up looking like sheep. Personally I would have liked to see a diesel rolling coal. You said it grew a third pedal, are you saying it's auto? What has the teenage car community become!

This is from one high school kid to another, remember that.

The Honda scene is the same as the VW scene in that all Honda kids do the same thing other Honda kids do just like all VW kids do the same things other VW kids do. My point is, why the fuck does it matter to you if the parents paid for it? He paid for it? His Grandparents paid for it? Maybe he's Jewish and cashed in all his Bar mitzvah money...who cares? It's a clean build. So what if he didn't install the bags himself, maybe...just maybe he doesn't have the time/skills/tools/knowledge to install them and wants it done correctly the first time without a lot of trial and error, I can't fault him for that. Good on you for building your car yourself, he chose a different route for his building. Get off your high horse and let the kid have his moment in the sun.
