Some of you may recognise this car off the forum from a couple of other members. But I bought it off my friend dale because he's just bought a mk5 GTI and decided he likes his mk3 VR6 more than the jetta, so he decided to sell it. And I couldn't resist for the price! It has no MOT or tax at the moment so I have gonna do stuff before putting it on the road in the summer I expect. As long as I don't get carried away with my plans.

I didn't have my camera on me today to take nice pics so will have to do with iPhone pics for a min.
He had just fitted new coilovers, done a service, changed the battered sump and changed a few other bits, But I was doing some wiring for him because the dash lights weren't working. After going into it, It turned out there was a melted wire that had also destroyed a few other wires and completely melted the headlight switch wiring. And some previous owner has tried fixing if by wrapping masking tape around it???? :wtf:
So anyway that was the first thing to fix, since i was half way through the job when he sold it to me.
And now all tidied up and fixed
And a few general pics of all my cars together lol. Might try and get the good camera out tomorrow.
Plans are mega clean up of interior and maybe the engine bay at some point. And i'm talking engine out and get everything plated and painted up all nice like its just come out the factory. Get loads of sound deadening and put it under the carpet, in the doors and under the headlining.
Really want some gotti j55a 5 stud wheels polished up with gold painted in the middle of the spokes like so in 15 inch.
Either a set of those or some Rota Grid Vs like these
But I expect I will just restore my borbets and put smaller tyres on those for now.
I need the top half of the centre console blank thing. Not sure what its called. Anyone got one? I have the gear stick surround

Judging from your Passat this will turn out great! Not feeling the Borbets though...what tires are you gonna run? 165s?
