  • Joe's E36 Project

    Hello,

Im Joe, ive just joined the forum, i have been reading and scanning this brilliant forum for a while, i just hadn't got round to signing up, so here i am!

It all started when i had a hankering for a E36, so when a 45,000m 1 owner Techno violet M kitted 318is popped up i had to have it.

I have been busy working on my car these past few weeks, so to start ill post up some progress pictures, i hope to add some proper pictures within the next week or so,

(apologies about the poor quality pics)

    Before,

Engine cleaned, inlet manifold and cam cover painted,

M3 Front splitter with M tech centre mesh

Indicators lightly smoked, with new metal plates and surrounds

    Headlight main beam tinted yellow

    Kidney grills painted satin black

Twin exit diffuser replaced the single exit, a powerflow exhaust filled the gap (brackets needing adjustment!)

Coilovers were next, along with caliper painting and M3 EVO top mounts

A friend of mine had a E36 carbon fibre bonnet with bonnet pins for sale so i bought it, (needs a clean!)

Then a M3 Vader interior was fitted,

This is how the front sits at the moment on a slight incline, (apologies about the crap phone pics)

Oh the car is currently sitting on 8.5j Hartge wheels, i have added as much camber to the front as possible to clear the arches, with the evo top mounts and the washers behind the hub trick.

    Front: et13 8.5j 205 40 17

    Rear: et13 8.5j 215 40 17

    The to do list:

    Paint and fit M3 mirrors,
Fit Adjustable camber rear lower arms,

Thanks for reading my first post! and i hope to update shortly with some better pics.

    Joe

i really really REALLY dislike the hood, think you should replace it.
Tho the interior is to die for, lets trade i got a black leather one
