My goal was to refinish these wheels, turning them into artwork. I wanted to pay attention to details that dont even really matter and to do it all myself on a small budget.
I couldnt be happier with the outcome.
got the custom OZ logo's today and took a mockup picture.
Just need flange new nuts and they will finally be done.
Pretty stoked. Cracks freak me out. Especially with these, Im planning on running -9 degrees of camber in the rears. So I need to make sure the barrels will hold up under all the stress!
Finally, got a friend to weld that cracked barrel. Filed down the outer weld by hand for perfection. Gonna get the inner weld thickened just to make sure it wont re-crack...

haha well im not one of those people that are anal about being different, I just like the route I have taken!
I know this ghetto skid plate wont save me on huge highway bumps, but I really do wonder how much it has saved me. I mean look how much the pan has dug into it! Although I drive as if its not even there.
planning on upgrading to diamond plated steel. same shape.
