A+ for creativity. Lose the bra, wing and mudflaps and you'll be golden.
Also being 4x100 you should beable to locate some pretty decent wheels on the cheap.
I love junkyard builds. Apparently there is some form of turbo that bolts onto the twincam Saturn motors too...lol.

Neon coils eh? Ok now Im intrigued.

Havent made a thread yet, but Im working on a 95 SW2 (wagon). Currently have wheels that Im working on, and also have some Ground Control coils that I will be using, but I like this Neon option. Would love to see more pics/info on how you did it.

        ^ Hi Dan lol.

I'm also extremely interested in everything you did here suspension wise OP. I'm looking at a set of BC coils (for the neon) for my 94 SW2. My current setup is not ideal (old progress coils up front and H&R springs rear with a few dead coils trimmed). It rides nice, but I want to go lower and can't with what I've got. If this works and is relatively simple I'll probaby do the same setup on my coupe as well since that could highly benefit from better suspension setup.

Also the car looks decent, but I'd ditch those side skirts, they're just too big and bulky and don't go with the car well.

LOL for the invaders from sixthsphere here's some more pics
top mount for the shock absorber. I will try and get more picks this weekend as I'll be adjusting the front lower

also, mistake on my part, the shock absorber didn't bottom out... i forgot the stock washer thing from the top of the dust cap on the one side but its in now haha, guess i was to excited and missed the one lol.

Kw vs stock.... can't tell in the picture but the kw's bottom mount is about .5 or 1mm tighter then stock so I used a hydraulic set to expand it a teeny bit.

I should be getting around to putting the back set in during the weekend. They look like they will be much much easier as they have way more thread then the front set.

            @punkboy sl2. I loved your silver sl2.

im also quite flattered that the sphere has invaded cause of me, I'll do my best to document what I'm doing for the Saturn people out there! just out of curiosity How'd you guys come across this? most Saturn guys aren't into the whole stanceworks thing lol, unless you clicked the link from the thread punkboysl2 posted up on 6s, i tend to lurk through there . you might remember me from way way back, I'm the kid who has the 5 panel mirror and at the time made Domo badges haha. i believe you can get the same set from the neon from certain sunfires, IIRC I saw something about it on the kw site...

Ive been on this site for awhile, just never post.

I also would probably already have my car on the ground, but I havent had my license for 2 years and live an hour away from where my car is sitting. I got the parts lined up though, like I said GC sleeve setup and some 16x7 +32 and 16x8 +32 sitting here next to me that have to get redrilled and refinished. I always thought that Joe(punkboy) and I were the only ones that were into this scene as well, so its nice to see someone else making progress.

Someone linked your StanceNation thread on the sphere, and then someone brought this thread up.

So tonight I got started on the coilovers for the back. had other things on this evening so they aren't in yet, but it shouldnt take much to put them in when i get time next.

                    anywho on with the pics!

                    stock strut lower mount:

                    Kw strut lower mount:

Kw's are about a millimeter smaller for the holes for the bolts so either have to get smaller diameter bolts and have a washer/spacer like thing in the knuckle, or drill them out slightly larger. I'm in the process of drilling/enlarging the kw holes. also the KW's have camber adjustments on them, and the stock don't, likely wont use them there anyhow.

and just a comparison of the stock struts and KW's: (the bump stop on the kw isnt all the way down. probably an inch and a half higher then it should be)

the following is something that you will not have to do if you are using different springs/smaller. I have decided to stick with the Neon KW springs in the back, they ride much better. Unfortunately the Neon rear coil is way larger (in diameter) then the stock Saturn rear coil, this means the top spring perch that is factory on the Saturn is to small, here are some pics to explain what I'm talking about:

So with the stock Saturn top perch (or whatever you call it) does not center the larger coil and would allow it to move around and wiggle..... which is bad

but no worries! I have the stock neon top perch's to bastardize .
so got the stock neon top perch out:

And then cut it up reeeeeeaaaallll nice : (Cut perch on left, stock on right)

basically cut of the existing tabs as well as the original connection to the shock absorber...

Then I got out the stock Saturn dust boot/bumpstop. the top of it is a large washer which sits on the shock absorber and transfers the load from the shock absorber evenly to the strut perch/top mount.

Then I brought the bastardize neon part from above and set it on top:

Suprizingly its a perfect fit. the washer is slightly large then the hole and thus will hold the "spring stabilizer/bastardized neon part" in place and tight to the top, which in turn will keep the spring in place perfectly... best part of it is no spring travel has been compromised doing this thus far

Comparison of amount of thread on the shock absorbers between kw's and stock: (kw on left)

YES KWs have the same amount if not more, so unlike the front coils i will not be needing to modify the top mount or shave it down...

                    so then i assembled it:

now i just gotta enlargen the holes at the bottom and slider er on in!
ORDER EVERYTHING IS ASSEMBLED(from top to bottom): bolt for shock absorber, stock saturn top mount washer, stock saturn top mount/plate/perch, bastardized neon coil holder perch thing, dustboot washer bumpstop assembly, kw coil, and of course the shock absorber.

if your running smaller diameter coils you won't have to do half of what i listed above.

also something else to note: the rear coilover bottom mount does not need to be expanded as they are perfect size, unlike the fronts in which i had to use a hydraulic spreader to get them to fit the knuckle

Good to see some Saturn guys into this scene! Definitely loving the progress here. Are you planning on going aggressive with the fitment?

Thanks! I'd like to go as aggressive as possible, plans are to get it close to this:

most likely with a little more sidewall and stretch, and a little bit raised as its my daily.

I have gold xxr's sitting in my basement waiting to go on my sc2 as soon as the snow starts to melt...and that fitment is spot on to me.

My turbo SC2 is getting those wheels with some Toyo R1Rs, but won't be as low as the wagon.

Stoked that the back knuckles are the correct size. I'm getting BC neon coils as soon as I have some more cash stashed, but I probably won't be doing that for another month or so especially since it's winter and I have to drive this thing through the snow.
