good work so far. That seriously sucks about the shop. I can't believe that THEY screwed up and wanted YOU to pay anything. I wouldn't go back there if I were you.

well heres some more pics after the car was running for a while.

mine is the one in the middle obviously we all know who is to the left

this is what the car looked like when i first bought it

then put some better wheels on it

some autox it was rainig really bad so it didnt last long

And this is what im working on now. the car has been on a lift at my shop for about 6 months now cause the macine shop that repaid the head after they ruined it the first time decided to reuse old parts without telling me so 5 of the vale guids fell out and fried the head so i decided to start tuckin wires and cut some weight out also bought an i head for the e block so now will have lower compression and bigger intake and exhaust ports.

so after 2 weeks of running the valves started to tick worse than normal. so i took it to the machine shop who did the work to the head for a valve adjustment. they call me about an hour later and tell me that my valves are sticking and theres no oil getting to the cylinder head and they told me they would charge me to take the head off. so i towed the car home and took it off myself and told them to figure out what they did wrong. about a day or two later they call up and say o we forgot to cut a grove in the cam for the oil passage. so a long story short i had to buy a new cam cause they wouldnt pay for it and they tried to charge me for the repairs.

i like the budget-DIY thing in the process

the head-lights are the only minus here IMO.

    keep it up!

Originally i was going to turbo the M42 but i got the M20 for 100 bucks and started to tare it appart. its a 325e motor and at that point it was all stock except for the 19lb lightweight flywheel from ie a turbo i cam that was cut to fit the e head and 32lb fuel injectors.

The t3/t4 turbo is a cheep ebay turbo for now running 15 lbs i have 8mm spark plug wires and a IE FPR and im running the war chip the 50mm BOV and 38 mm wast gate are both from tial. Drilled rotors are from tuner motorsport it has hawk race pads and braided stainless lines all the bushings for the engine and trans and suspension are from IE And yes ground control coil sleeves with builstine shocks the sping purches on the front were welded an inch lower than stck si i could drop it 4 inches instead of 3. so far at that point thats all that was done

Looks like he swapped out the M42(4cyl) for the M20(6cyl). plus looks like GC suspension and a whole lot of yummy turbo parts. Should be interesting to watch
