  • 1990 BMW 524td(i) - The "Pinky" project

After many old MB diesel, I decided to try out a BMW diesel for daily. Small plans got bigger and more expensive.

As usual by Nord-Bingen Custom, also this car will get a makeover.

My plans for the car: (bought)(Installed)
    -Borbet A 9x17 ET8
    - Special built chip which get max fuel from the IP. 180+hp and 350+nm with the new set up.
    - bigger turbo
    - custom exhaust 2,5"
    - Black skin interior
    - Intercooler
-Car audio: 6-channel, four 6x9, alpine head unit, kenwood 12".
    - boost controller
    -boost gauge
    - TA springs/ Maxgear shocks

    - m5 side skirts
    - small rear "flap"

    - Yellow bulbs in the front lights
    - Repaint

    -Limited Slip Differential

    The start:

TDi is always sooo nice - The rims look pretty sweet, can't wait to see them on.

                Thank you all!

                That's right Jason

I'm still waiting for the new eprom, so it want be that much upgraders before I get that.

Finally the car is up and running with the new eprom. OMG it's difference! The wheels are spinning easily through all gears on the snow

start up/sound check - stock boost pressure, stock turbo, no intercooler atm. To be continued..

                  I've also ordered some parts:
                  - new glow plugs
                  - m-side skirts
                  - small flip("spoiler") to the trunk
                  -rear window lip

And I've changed my plans for it. It will be repainted in mora metallic, not lila. That's because I want to keep the stock lights.

so are you gonna run on lowering springs? why not coilovers?

is the car manual? is it too slow? Just wondering.. in bf.c a guy swaped a V12 into his 524, mated to a manual tranny. He said the car was slow to death, so that why i ask

Looks like it will be a sick build. I have to ask though, those aren't real Borbets are they? They are still sick regardless.

Should look stunning in that colour. But I thought it was Mora Metallic individual. I've got some BBS RC041/042's in the same colour

In the day light the colour 'pops' jut like the Z3. Could be extremely wrong though.

Because I allready have new springs/shocks for the car, if it want be low enough, I will cut them. I also have some other projects who needs some care.

It is manual 5-speed. I don't think it's that slow now. After I got the new eprom/set up which is special built to get max fuel out of stock element in the IP, it works pretty good But it costs pretty much, and few guys knows how to get it right. It's not as fast as an v12, but a completely different car from the stock set up.

I have had e28 m535i and this car isn't slower from 0-100. But I have not testet it good enough yet, I don't get any traction on the snow at all.
