  • Sorta Stancey Scion

Hey everyone, you probably all have seen me around, but never had a build thread. Had some extra time and now Im going to create one, Enjoy and feel free to comment.

    Name: Andrew

    Location: Pennsylvania

Vehicle: 2005 Scion tC 70k Miles as of this morning (1/20/2012)

Hobbies: Cars, RC Drifting, Video Games, Golfing, Photography

Other Info: Currenty in college, im a sophmore majoring in Communication Design and minor in Electronic Media.

Now to the information you all came to see.

So in 10th grade I decided to buy my 1st car, it somehow ended up being this baby. My tC. Was between this one and a flint mica with a shit fartcan on it and riced out the ass. Bought her with 50k miles on it, bone stock, very clean. (besides the previous owner being a smoker_

After having her for a couple months I wanted to do some aftermarket work to it. I had this great idea of some fast and furious style shit, as most tC owners to, with a huge exhaust, vinyl stripes, and neon lights.

    IMG_1237 by extrem344, on Flickr

Well thats about how far I got with those ideas....My good buddy (Jersh) had introduced me to a whole new world in 12th grade....the glory of Stance. As I researched on wheels, and some fitment perspectives in the tC world I didnt come across much, so I had added some little mods including a short shifter, a TRD Exhaust, some little interior nic nacs, a sub, Tein H-Techs (which were great, minus no lows) and FIG Badgless grille...the typical

Aftter fall settled and winter had arrived, I wanted some winter plans...I researched and researched for wheels, bu could not make up my mind...was thinking reps to learn, than figured that was a waste of money, and I went back and forth for a month or two. I decided than to get some new suspension before I went out and got wheels, just to get a feeling of what "low" really was.

    IMAG0128 by extrem344, on Flickr

And believe me when I say, I really thought this thing was low...=P....I than made up my mind on wheels, which Jersh pointed out to me.

    IMG_1908 by extrem344, on Flickr

Once I got the tires mounted and balanced, car aligned, I wanted new tailights (go figure...)

    IMG_1934 by extrem344, on Flickr

I liked them for awhile, but than realized I was going back to that "ricey" look that I had originally planned when I 1st got my car. But back to the wheels...After a few weeks of biching and moaning over "rub" , I got my fenders rolled...but even after this, I wasnt "low".

    IMG_1933 by extrem344, on Flickr

I than decided to take off my tinted tails, and went back to stock. With doing this I also lowered my car a bit, and added my tow hook (silly me....)

I decided that the tow hook was too much and I took it off. Around July of 2011 I wanted to go to some shows....my first show being a truck show, "Low Rollers End of Summer Bash". It was fun and had a good time, but wish there were more cars.

After we got home from the show I wanted some change, but still couldnt figure out what that was...so I went out and took some pictures.

and this bring us to today, when im thinking of what to do over the next few months to continue my progress on my car...not planning on selling it, although I have attempted to. My future plans are hopefully to get 3pc wheels on soon and some crazy fitment, that pushes limits.

    IMG_7578 by extrem344, on Flickr

This is where the wheels are sitting now and im in "Winter Mode".

My wheels are currently unmounted and heading to the Powdercoating location got some plans for them for the spring, I am also working on my interior, which I will post up shortly when I get some shots.

Thanks everyone for reading/looking, and I will update frequently.

Yes, trying to match the color, don't have extra cash to send it to rotiform to get exact, and they won't give me that information, which is understandable, but my friend knows a guy who says he can match it... So wish them luck haha!

Thank you man and good luck.

Haha I **** the scion community. There are a few that I believe are passed the stages of bias on tC's on here, and a few on other forums that I respect, but other than that I don't care for.

Thanks again. And probably spacing eventually, I have 2 ideas for when I put my wheel back on, I'd I dont like either, I'm going with spacing.
