I did, then removed the kit and sold the car. 2 weeks later the new owner totaled it apparently with no insurance

Yes I get, paint, wheels,tire and other various parts for free or very very cheap in exchange for letting them use my car for photo shoots, display at shows and Ad's, also my web presence does not hurt.
