323i e21 project

Hi, been on here a while and darted in and out of numerous cars for the past few years, not really settling, (bmw e36,mazda MX5 and mercedes CLK).








But I've finally pushed myself to get a project I've been wanting to get ever since i heard about its existence. It's been owned by my friends dad, who decided to put in a garage in 2004 and have it as a project after driving it around for a while.

But now its over to me and I've decided to put together a build thread as I've never done one before and it will make me use my camera alot more.
I have alot planned for this as it has so much potential.

i loved my e36 but ended up falling out of love as everyone ended up getting one. the merc was a 3.2 v6 auto. very luxury, but really boring and slow for a 3.2, i blame the 'gliding' hypothesis from merc.

so today went well.

Managed to get a set of 60mm drop springs installed, still sits too high so gonna take a dead coil out. checked over all the bushes and shocks and there all in good nick, my friend dropped over a battery so i can try and get this thing turned over and running.

below are a few pics of the car before i installed the springs (got too dark to take more pictures by the time they were installed.

so after a while of checking everything over and gettting it started found a problem, the fuel pump and accumulator look like they've lived at the bottom of the sea for 50years, and the fuel isn't getting past one of these. so new parts are on order just as soon as i get some money together. But hopefully after these two new parts and a new radiator it will be ready for an MOT....
