  • Pete's Lupo GTI

Hey again everyone, posted up on the intro bit so now here is my loop.

Now for the important bits, suspension, spacers and rims. I've stuck a set of weitec hicons on after my fk's lost all the oil on the fronts. Spaced out 17mm on the rear on my standard wheels as they're only 6.5j and 15mm on the fronts as it's in 'Winter Mode' at the minute. But for summer I have a set of 8j TH-Monos and just have 5mm spacers on the rears with those.

And just a few extra pics of my dwarfed dub while I'm on!

Cheers lads, really hoping to get it tidied up this year really, got a few bodywork issues that need sorting out, gonna wait till the coast is clear of possible snow fall before I take the rear adjusters and stick a bit of camber on the back end, I'd love to get some more stretch on the go to allow it to go even lower but got too much other stuff on the back burner to just fork out for a set of show tyres!

So hopefully come end of February I'll have more pics to show, got a flocked dash waiting to go in at some point, a leather gti engine cover and a front strut brace that I haven't decided whether or not to fit yet, will mean taking off both front struts and drilling through the turrets, and with the small width of the car anyways I reckon the brace will mainly be for cosmetic appeal rather than it really serving a purpose!

I love the BMC, gives it a nice growl, but I have noticed it makes it drink the fuel a lot quicker, so it's come off for now anyways. My new job should allow me to go to work on my bike or by foot so I'll be able to stick my car on stands and go to work on it soon!
