    Houston we have a problem

So ive been waiting over a week to put on my new bbs's i still dont have tires but i was waiting for the wobble bolts to come in so i can at least test fit them and yesterday the wobble bolts came in.

as soon as i mounted the rear wheel on the hub i knew there was already a problem.
the rear wheel is 18x10+50 which pushed the whole wheel into the fender and is actually touching the coilovers. Its also rubbing up on the fender liner.

Since im going to be running these with wobble bolts the biggest spacer i can put on these are 5mm. Will this give me the clearance i need?
    i was thinking about going 215/40F 225/40R

damn weak offsets messin up everything. i rather rub the fender then rub up on my coils. Please stanceworks i need advice on making these gorgeous wheels work. If not they will be for sale.

      I doubt a 5mm will clearance everything.

5mm definitely wont cure that problem...you have to think about the natural camber your going to have when you lower it more...personally, i think if you really want to run the wheels, id sell the barrels and lips, buy skinnier barrels, and wider lips for a lower offset...if not you could always do hubcentric adapters.

Get them redrilled and mount them properly.
Or bolt on adapters. Motorsports tech in vegas can do studded ones in as low as 15mm I believe. I have a set of 26mm's from them and love them.

Damn I know, but id much rather have a set of RS in 18 than super rs so i can change out the lips. kinda done with these wheels now.

15mm's may solve your problem. It's hard to tell from the picture.

What's the size and offset of the wheels? What's factory?

Either way re-drilling and re barreling or spacers, you wont have to rock wobble bolts.

                      Diameter: 18"
                      Width: 8"
                      Offset: 43mm
gotta find a buyer for the wobble bolts now.

are you sure your wheels are 18x8 +43? Because im reasonably sure the stock wheels are 18x8 +45.

anyway, double check the sizing and offsets. Try bolting them down to the hub, then check your fitment issue. try some cheap 5mm slip on spacers from your local parts store to see if they help and go from there.

Thank you its coming along slowly but im not stopping.

my buddy lent me his bbs flat center caps to see if i like em, any thoughts? I think it makes the wheels look bigger.

On another note, I just ordered adaptec spacers w/ adapters 20mm and 25mm

After the spacers are on my sizes will be 18x8+22 18x10+25!!!
Coming shortly after ill be slapping on some 205/40 and 225/40 tires.

18x8 and 18x10 are kinda hard to pull off an Audi because of the limited tire size combos you have to choose from to keep the AWD happy.

215/40 and 235/40 will work, but you're going to eat through front tires really quick because B7s don't have adjustable front camber so they're hard on tires when they're lowered. On top of that, the 4.2 V8 weighs a shit ton and no one makes a 215/40 that's weight rated for the B6/7 S4s, so it will eat tires even faster.

                                Personally, I'd go with either a 225/40 and 235/40 or a 225/40 and 255/35.

For offsets, you'll want the get the rear offset somewhere around et30 and the fronts something along the lines of et20.

For reference, these are were 18x10 et28 with 255/35s with the factory camber beyond maxed out (I modified the rear hubs to get another 1.5 degrees of camber) on my old B6:

The front wheels were 18x8.5 et37 with 225/40s. I should have ran a 10mm or 12mm spacer though to get them to sit better, bringing the offset down to et25 or so.
