Right well here's some progress shots on how I've been getting on.
I've been stripping and disconnecting anything I can see to disconnect haha
Only Drive shafts and Engine mounts are holding it in now! Excited to take it out and start welding up holes.
Took out the ABS. PROPER old skool system this is!
BUT it made way for my new Air box.
ARC Intake!
Fit's lovely without the ABS now.
And one of how it's sitting at the moment. Not looking pretty at all.

There is some progress!
I've taken the engine out now to find the oil filled with shot blast material gutted. At least I know what was the problem now! Onwards and upwards!
The engine builder has written a list of stuff that is happening/needed for the build.
Chemical cleaning both block and head, cylinder rebore and hone, repair damaged camshaft bearings, cylinder head skim, and block decked.
Donor block
Piston Rings
ACL Race Engine bearings
Head gasket Kit
Block gasket Kit
Water Pump
Timing Belt
Champion Oil filter
Dizzy cap and rotor arm
Spark plugs
Ignition wires
Extras are
Big bore throttle body
FSE fuel pressure boost valve
Adjustable Cam pulleys
Head work will be:
matching the inlet manifold, porting out the plenum intake to the larger throttle body polishing the inside of the inlet manifold, reworking the inlet and exhaust ports, reshaping the valve guide ramps and guide ends, polishing chambers and deshrouding around the valve seats.
He says:
With the headwork adjustable cams, exhaust manifold, exhaust system, bump in compression ratio from 9.4:1 to 10.5:1, adjustable fuel pressure regulator we should get a nice output of around 180-190bhp maybe more with excellent torque low down as well probably around 155-170lbft which would certainly make your car very lively!!
Excited!
Also found a shot I took and edited just before then engine farked out.

As soon as you fitted the 2G 'lude bumper I was eager to see what lip you went with as I'm having trouble finding an old skool looking one that fits. The Beemer sides and accord middle looks great! I'm looking for something with the same sort of scoop effect tapering down to the floor. I want Shota Mori's lip on his accord cos that's an actual 2G lude lip! Looks like it says Auto Sport imprinted in the lip?
Very sad to see how Nelson's sitting at the mo. Mine's looking sad too but progress is being made and I CANNOT wait to drive it again.

I don't know if you read the post before but my engine builder said:
'With the headwork adjustable cams, exhaust manifold, exhaust system, bump in compression ratio from 9.4:1 to 10.5:1, adjustable fuel pressure regulator we should get a nice output of around 180-190bhp maybe more with excellent torque low down as well probably around 155-170lbft which would certainly make your car very lively!!'
Why would I bother with the massive hassle of trying to find a wiring harness converter for some newer VTEC engine when I can have a freshly rebuilt tuned lump that fit's straight in.
I did look around at swaps but it just wasn't worth it. It is inkeeping with the old skool-ness I want this car to have.
B20 Nontec lol
So my willwood prop valve turned up today
Really have NO idea how to plumb it all in after removing the ABS System.
If anyone knows or can draw me a diagram that'd be awesomeLast edited by Benny; 06-14-2012, 11:44 AM.

All estimates by the builder so far but I'll have to get it dyno'd to see the real result.
It's not really about speed tho, I just want it back on the road but while it's out it'd be rude not to have a shit load of headwork done lol The builder gets so excited about it I just cant say no.
