A few weeks ago my 2007 Scion tC decided to tell me a joke. It went something like this:
"Knock knock..."
-"Who's there?"
"Your engine."
After that very congenial "Fuck you Harrison," I just got sick and tired of the car and parted it out. I was already getting pissed with little problems it was giving me. So while I am still figuring out what to do with it, I kinda went off an impulse and decided its time to start making my childhood dreams a reality and I bought this:

A 1987 Mazda Rx7. Its a NA platform with a full S4 Turbo II swap (13b Turbo, LSD, etc.). I got it for cheap, just the profits of my tC's partout. Mods are as follows:
-Turbo II swap
-Rotary Works V-mount
-Greddy BOV
-3" straight exhaust to Blitz Nurspec Canister
-Poweredbymax Coilovers
-Lots of suspension upgrades I am forgetting, like knuckles for turn angle etc.
-Bolt in cage
-Ancient Momo wheel
-17x9/10.5 Mustang Bullitt wheels
-Drilled/slotted rotors, forget the brand
-Downright shitty widebody fenders
I'm am forgetting a lot, sorry, but the car is two days in my possession.
It came with one crappy and ripped seat, so I went to a local junkyard and got these bad boys:

The previous owner also had a friend who kept bugging him for the fenders, so today I went down to make the swap from those horrendous ricer widebody fiberglass fenders to oem fenders:

And by chance they completely matched the hood:

I was very happy with the results. I also got a new battery and alternator in it today as well. It also appears there are 700cc injectors as the car runs insanely rich and I am slowly being poisoned by the gas fumes that fill the cabin. So I found a local guy that will be swapping oem injectors so that 1. I'll be able to drive it AND breathe, 2. I won't have a boggy throttle response, and 3.I won't be throwing crazy fireballs anytime I rev it at all. I'll be cleaning it and changing the oil tomorrow. Long term I plan on drifting her after I get everything figured out with my tc. In the mean time, I plan on getting it looking as clean and oem as possible. Its fast enough for me for now, I pulled a couple built all-motor mustangs this evening by about 5 lengths. Really far down the road, when I have a reliable daily or when I blow this motor, whichever comes first, I plan on doing some sort of weird swap, like a SR or RB25. Fitment wise, I plan on keeping the Bullitts as drift spares and picking up a set of something aggressive in the 17x10 range, hopefully equips or meisters. I wanna go a tad lower, but not much. Its my first "fast (for me)" car, I am just enjoying not being scared to death of cracking my oil pan, but I still want to be fitted. Thats all for today, we'll see what the weekend brings, maybe a bumper?
