I believe this is exactly why you received some negative responses. This forum has sub forums specifically for "enjoying watching something evolve" such as the build forum. Which your obviously aware of by your post. You go in there expecting to see unfinished work. Like the garage in a shop where customers can't go due to insurance regulations. And the "showroom" is just that, the room or forum that you showcase what you have been working on. And what are we presented with? A pic of a tire poking out and a close up of a wheel. Do you understand how it's a little disappointing when you click and have certain expectations based on the sub forum that your entering? It's the same thing if someone were to post a car "for sale" in this showroom forum. They would catch hell.

If the two pictures in your first post were of that white 300. I don't think you would have had one negative comment. The thread title and "teaser "shots just add insult to injury. I myself come in the showroom expecting to see something to motivate me to push forward with my build since it's been a pain in the ass, especially the past two weeks. I'm sure others do as well.

All that being said, your 300 looks great! I haven't looked at the build thread yet, but from the two pictures that you posted looks like you know how to put a nice car together. So I look forward to seeing what you have up your sleeve. What are the wheel and tires specs? I have always liked the 300's and Magnums and wanted to pick one up to play with it. But at the moment I'm concentrating on my Del Sol and then either my E30 or E34.

I appreciate your thoroughly explained post. I'm well aware of what the sub forums stand for, and obviously realized my mistake as soon as I re-entered the thread and read the very first response. My very next post in this thread was asking for it to be moved, and not a negative response slamming those who were upset about seeing two junk shots of a random car. lol

Your response would be very fitting for someone who intentionally posted these pics in the showroom expecting some great feedback, and then blew up the thread multi-quoting everyone who posted anything negative and started blasting them. If my post about wanting it moved wasn't a good enough indication, I'm not sure what else to say. I'd like to think none of us ever make any mistakes, but life obviously doesn't always work that way.

Thanks for your comments on the car! My hobby truly keeps me sane. The wheels are 22" x 10.5" fronts, 22" x 12" rears. The tires are 265/30/22's up front, and 295/25/22's in the rear. I still need to roll the fenders, but after that's done, I'll put up some pics of the wheel pushed up into the fender after I remove the springs.

For the same reason you're still scratching your head as to why the original post didn't deliver what you wanted, I'm doing the same wondering if anyone has read my posts clearly stating that this was simply a teaser for a future build that I posted in the wrong sub forum.

I apologize for what seems to have been an extremely displeasing experience for all who have clicked on this thread and taken the time to let me know.

i just say this because i'm not the type of person to 'waste' thread space with a couple vague pictures. especially when you already have a lot in process.. lots of things to take pictures of in an airbag build.

I've openly and willingly wanted this moved to the proper section from the very beginning. Now that I've asked for that, it's apparent that the initial post still wouldn't have met expectations. I'm not surprised that your assumptions about me are horribly inaccurate, as people's assumptions about things are often wrong until they take the time to find out the facts or get to know the person.

It sounds like we don't share the same perspective, and I can respect that. Thanks very much for your thoughts on this. I'll take it into consideration when posting future threads.

Sorry you've gotta deal with all this shit man. Anyway, your 300 was nuts, definitely refreshing to see one on the ground instead of it riding at donk status with 24's. Are we allowed to know what the car is before we get to see full pics? I don't think you said anywhere what it's gonna be, unless I missed that.

No worries at all! Thanks for your comments on my last car. It was a fun build, but definitely time for a change. I ended up with a 2012 300 S. I'll put up some more pics as parts come in.
