love the MK3 interior, so I vote for painted floors
    I vote for Kevlar
I vote for more pics of the process
Thanks bro - I beleive I have needed half of the things I have tossed from the car haha...Would **** for him to see when I am gutting the interior...Spot on, I am doing kevlar, am gutting and painting the floors, and will have new pics up this evening

So are you in London now and moving back or bringing the car here? Definitely bring it to the upcoming meets if you've got it
I am still in London but traveling for a few months, in the states for a second but do not believe I will be bringing the car there...The roads are a bit scary in places, and parking is a mess in the city I think I would go broke taking it over haha! If we decided to live there permanently however I would bring all of the cars/bikes along to all events...I am not even sure if they would allow my truck on the roads over there though.

Thanks man, that is the quote I received from EAS I do believe, unless I am mistaken...How much are the VACs?

I am a bit timid that the horn will be frail over time because of its protruding off of the body...so...I do believe Kevlar it shall be. I need to get it shipped out this week.

I am undecided on a few other mods so would appreciate input :

Macht Schnell floor mount brackets for my seats and side mounts...I like the static mounting (no need for a slider as I am the only one who will drive my car) - also gives more head room because there isnt much there being 6.2" with static seats.

at $500 per side they are a bit pricey for what you get...I feel it shouldnt be difficult to fabricate a set via machine shop if I just give the measurements which is option 1...Option 2, are there any static floor mounts similar to Macht Schnell's for a better price?

    Thanks guy, much appreciated.

    May we take a vote?

My seat backs are CF - but may be painted to match the car. Trim is to be paint matched and roof painted.

    Kevlar w/o horn

    OR

    CF w/ horn

    Thoughts?

I would suggest reading the coilover thread on m3forum as a the one guy really goes in depth with a bunch of the setups and which is the best, i just dont know enough other than for performance you want something like the ast4100 which has linear springs which are better than what kw uses

    I "dabble" (nothing illegal)

I dont mind sharing my profession with everyone if you guys dont mind trailing OT for a bit

Anyone searching for a CSL console with all of the oem fixins? I leave for NYC Monday and will be carrying the console & parts, mirrors, nav and panelling along with a few other parts with me to ship from the city if anyone is to buy.

Removing the rear flares is a pain in the ass - I have been at it all day...during the process have a stranger driving a dodge truck stop by being nosy and telling me he did body work his entire life 20 years back...:. Continued to tell me that i shouldnt be cutting a part of my quarter panel off because I may need that - then he looks at the Flossman 1/4 and says "these aint even welded on here" - I say "those "aint" metal, they are carbon fiber and they are glassed onto the metal 1/4...."Oh, well you shouldnt cut into the pan......" I cut him off to say "I am busy doing something I shouldnt be doing so please leave me to it"

    Mine ya biniss!

Also Raven is starting to import the cages, got an email a few weeks ago that they found a better company to ship with so they will be easier to get from now on, but used is still prolly the easiest
Thanks man, school me on the coilovers as I dont know them from the hole in my ass...What are AST and price on them? How about Motons?

Not bad about Raven, glad they found a cheaper route, now if we could just cheat customs lol. I wish someone could pick mine up locally to save on shipping.

Thanks mate, watches are the reason this build is incomplete haha - my life, and basically career.

Sorry for the delay! I have spent the last couple of days removing parts and also part of my rear quarter to prepare for the custom rear! I will get some updated pictures within the next week for you guys of the front fenders bolted up / bumper / rear bumper / possibly sides and my poor rear quarter panels missing a flare!

I will be leaving for NYC on Monday - so will post pics once there of its current form...The wheels will be made while I am gone to NY for 1 month so should have updates on those as soon as I return. Since I cant tinker from NY I will be ordering more mods while there so I can atleast share those updates until back with the car.
