  • 325ti Compact - Pistachio green love machine.

Whilst having a mk3 mr2 it became apparent I needed a bigger car for my mtb and dogs. I decided on an e46/e36 estate or diesel or even a small petrol. I then went to the Nurburgring and decided fuel economy is overrated, and I needed to go back so ended up with this:

A "pistachio green" 325ti, within 10 miles of my house, had 81k a FBMWSH and was half the money I got for my MR2, with 2 more cylinders and 700cc more in the way of engine. The colour is quite vile (but I like it!), as is the interior, but hey, it was cheap!

I then decided the suspension needed overhauling, so my "man economics" kicked in and I got some coilies:

There are more lows to be had, but am going to see out the winter as is, and refurb the wheels I got... Then it will look like this, if not a touch lower:

    or this:

I'll space the wheels as needed...

Pretty much just that, it's a European only model and was kinda bridge between the compact and the 1series based on the e36 compact with a 'facelifted' body and e46 running gear.

Literally the ugliest thing I've ever seen in my life. As negative as that sounds I don't mean it to bash you or slow the progress of your build in any way, I just **** tourings, I've never seen an e46 one until now, and I've got to say it's substantially worse haha. I'll be following this to see if it eventually looks better, good luck with the build.

My eyes! That front end! Aghh...can like regular e46 front ends be put on these cars? Then it would become eleventy billion times more attractive.
                      Yes. Eleventy billion.

It's an e46, the e36 variant was the mash up one - a combo of e30 and e36 bits, but this is all e46! The front end is changeable with the regular one but they look wanque, she's a compact and is staying that way!

Cheers for the comments-you don't get them in the USA then?

                            Update:

I trial fitted the wheels, they need a refurb, but I'm quite happy with them!
