Small update before things get a little crazy. The shocks finally came in from tire rack. Jesus it took forever. The wait was worth it though. It's hard to beat $85 for two shocks. Anyway they had been at my house for about an hour before they went on.

Nice new shiny KYBs too bad they'll be blown again in like a month. Ohh well

This is the new vs old comparison. The old ones were both blown and leaking fluid. Not a surprise.

    One installed

    Both on

I have to say the wait was well worth it. Both came with every piece of hardware I needed. Even the double nuts for the tops. Great deal.

BTW car rides pretty smooth for how low it is. It's not bad on the road. If everything goes according to plan i'll have some video up tomorrow of it driving.

Keep up the good work and I hope to see this thing on a track sooner than later! Have you been keeping track of the overall cost invested in the project?

Thanks for the support man. Yeah we have. The car was free so we'll still have about 350 to spend after the necessary repairs.

Just wait. Front's going lower and we're looking to modify the struts to run my old e36 M springs. Cut of course.

Well my photobucket bandwidth got maxed out again, (I have a crap ton of threads with pics on BF.c) So I made another account just for this build. Expect a lot of updates in the next few weeks.Reading through NC laws we've found that this car is exempt from safety and emissions inspections and might not even need insurance to get on the road. (we'll be getting that anyway because we're not retards) but we hope to get the title squared away and have it registered tagged and insured within the next month.

Anyway through some minor inspection and process of elimination I determined the alternator, radiator, and battery are done for. So I'll have new ones coming in soon. I think I'm going to go to a Honda civic radiator from a 98-00. Should ensure reliability and will be cost friendly.

Didn't really get much else done, other than cutting out the rest of the already mostly rusted through spare tire well. I'll be replacing it with some sheet metal soon enough.

Here is a video of the fart can. It really doesn't sound any different than it did. Just a little quieter. Which is very nice.
