Hope you get it sorted mate...
Yeah. It probably wasn't even the welding tbh. I had to grind some of the welds down, so it could have been the heat from the grinder. Either way the panel is a bit warped. My mates been doing body work for years, so i've no doubt that he'll get it sorted!

Got to love minis full of nice/nasty little surprises!

What camber are those bottom arms going to give you?

        Will be following this one.

They're standard arms dude. Probably get adjustable ones if I can afford the insurance!

I'd probably run about -1 or 2 degrees. I don't want to go through tyres!

Good work, I certainly wouldn't be brave enough to keep going after seeing all the holes! Good luck with it, doesn't look easy

Thanks man. Any Mini is worth saving these days! No matter how bad.

Again, depending on if I can afford it, yes. I'd love to run 10's, but I would need to change the brake set up and I can't afford that yet!

Thanks dude. Nice Mini, saw one very similar today.

Not much to update, but I'm going to blast through some stuff tomorrow. Going to make up a few panels and tack them all on, then I'll get my Dad to weld them all up properly.

Well, I got another good weekend on the Mini, thankfully. I really want this finished for April!

As a part of my college course I've to document the progress of my Mini. So I whipped the cover off and noticed that the right hand inner wing is...well, fucked. I thought it was repairable, but I'd much rather replace the whole thing rather than have a bunch of patches everywhere. Anyone want to guess how much a new inner wing is?....£120! Whilst I'm ordering parts, I'm going to order a new Scuttle panel(Bit that goes below the windscreen) which is another £100. I'll order these at the end of the month when I get paid.

So I stripped some of the paint off my subframe so my dad could weld it and add some strength to it.

                            And a weld shot..

It's all welded up now and I just have to grind, strip the paint and then put it back together. Shouldn't be too difficult!

                            And another weld shot...

Don't have to change the brakes to run 10's, get some 6x10 or 5x10 wellers and use a inch spacer and they'll fit over the 8.4" set-up, thats how I done mine till I could afford the smaller set-up ha.

Nice work on the subframe man, jealous of your welding skills.

Yeah, I know, but I reeeeeally don't want to run spacers.

Thanks man. I get my dad to do the welding
