figured i'll start a build thread even tho my car is technically not a 'build' or 'even started' but more of a daily driver that will get some mods. im currently planning a two car garage in my backyard for spring as carports suck for project cars. once thats sorted i'll most likely buy another mk2 chassis VW and build someting for a toy. until then, this is what im doing.
i bought this 06 wagon at the vw/audi dealer i work at a few months back. it came in with low mileage [63xxx KM] and was exactly what i was looking for [diesel, wagon, fully loaded] except for the color which has now grown on me. i scooped it for a steal because it was filthy inside and had some dents on the rear lid and roof as well as the rear bumper was peppered with other cars front licence plate screw dents. the car came it for a very low trade value due to this. i agreed to take the car as it was and was able to apply an extended warranty to the vehicle [until 103xxx KM]. i cleaned it up and i'll handle the dent issue later.

i bought ST coilovers the same day but when they arrived a few weeks later i began looking for some wheels. i wanted to do both at the same time but then i had a massive water leak in my house that affected two floors[kids room and the living room and front foyer]. insurance denied my claim and i ended up doing most of the repair work myself to cut cost. still ended up blowing through the cash i had saved on the side for wheels/tires and i also had a new bicycle ordered. cancelled the bike order and decided to put the coilovers in the basement until next spring when i would recoup some 'play money'
^tl;dr --i realize thats way to much story, apologies.
anyways, i recently scored some biturbo S4 avus wheels[17x7.5 et45] and my plans are to dump it on them. im thinking ~20mm front ~25mm rear adapters[any mk4 guys with experience with fitment may want to chime in here]. orange side markers and black rubstrips. proper bixenon conversion as well because north american market mk4 headlights suck.
a friend of mine did a quick photoshop for me and im pretty happy with the way it will look.

hopefully once the snow melts i can provide a picture of the real car looking like this.
