Thanks. I can't help but not post my updates on there though. The site is full of "how far will these blocks drop my truck" people. Me and Burnzya from that site keep in touch and pretty much I bounce things off of him on how to do things. He's a Toyota/truck guru.

I did too. I love the OP's posting style.

Sick truck! Keep it going, it's never an easy road with a project this big. In terms of relying on "friends" for help... well, you know what they say- if you want something done right, do it yourself.

Aaaand this is where my post ends.

Parked at a show a hour or two north, under a truck of the same model.

It was towed to a (thought he was a) friend's shop to have some bed work done.

    Got it back like this.

    Lift hatch.

    Stanced???

I've went through hell with this truck, but it's coming together I think. The truck left in something like August with a guarantee of February 14th. My Valentines present lmfao. It didn't make it. Actually, it made it back in June because I made him bring it here and finish it as much as we could in 2 or 3 days.

The "friend" I took it to built the bed. While body work can fix a lot of things, he warped the sh*t out of almost every panel. I will have it rebuilt when money and time permits.

    I should drive it soon.

4 link set up and bags in place (gussets to come)

    Smoothed over control arms

    Brackets

    Rear tube work n shit.

    Blackness!

Layed out for the first time.

Overall rear shot with bed cutout

I had to make the builder bring it to me because he took for-f*ckin-ever compared to the original plan. Shit got done on my clock, in my garage.

Keep an eye on the mess, it's being cleaned up as we speak...or I post and you read..

Okay so the title is a bit misleading. I guess it should say something like "My Superlowuglymulticolored Mini Truck" or something, but we're splitting frog hairs I think.

    EDIT: new links, less funny.

So I will start off saying that this truck has tested every bit of patience (and trust) I have ever had with working/building on a project. It went to a guy in Nashville that did good work but took twice as long as he promised and didn't finish everything he said he would. He half assed a few things that snowballed into others as well. Then it went to a guy in Meridian, MS who I traded a fresh built 302 and 72 f100 for bed work and back wall shaving. Once he got working on it and buttoned up the bed enough to hold and what not he calls me up saying he has done way more work than my motor and truck are worth trading for and that I need to come pick up the truck. So, a warped unfinished bed and no shaved backwall later I at least have my Toyota back and can progress.

    Not really.

I have bought control arms, del sol seats, rewired the rear half, and a few other things as well. Things are slow going as I just got a new job and I am trying to settle in and work out my finances so I know what I can throw to the truck. Progress should happen fairly soon...but at least we have a build thread!

    Frame on table.

    New frame being built.

    Welds

    Frame again.

    Arms and such.

    Frame again.

    Layed Out.

    Valves

Tunnel that needs to be changed a bit for the seats to slide forward properly. All in time...

    Control arm before tubulars.

Warped ass bed with horrible gap fitment.

Full lift...I ride low when I ride...............................every 10 months or so.

Tubular arms built by a friend out in AZ.

Shaved cluster with Turbo Truck gauges.

    Tubes installed.

Air Ride switches from (I think) a 745i BMW.

That's where I am at right now and hopefully Ice will get it in the next coming few months and a lot of progress will be made. Any questions...ask away.
