NOONE runs the jap bed and I would never run an American bed on this body style. I hope to wire my switches, finish up the solenoid wiring and stuff tomorrow. If my battery is still good I will be testing everything and hopefully getting it back on it's own feet for the first time in a LONG time. I haven't driven this thing since last September or so. I can't wait to roll it.

    On another note..

I finally landed a job and plan on spending a bit of money on the truck throughout the year. I want to shave the firewall, have the front end tubbed and a core support built out of round tube. I would like it to bolt in so I can powder it like the arms and brakes. Valve cover may get matching powder. Who really knows.

I'm kind of taking the build as it comes. I've "planned" too much already, and it never really works. I will go with an understanding from now on and work details as I work and have work done. Feng Shui or whatever. Should have a few updates within the next few months other than driving it. Bed Build 3.0 for sure.

Wahoo! New stuff from the junk yard!

I grabbed two Del Sol buckets from the junk yard in great shape for all of 25 bucks! No rips, tears, or weak foam or anything.

I don't know why, but I've always liked saddle blanket seat covers too.

I like your fucking style, sir.

Oh, I wasnt knocking, I actually like the look, my buddy had them on my ranger that was static when I lived in the ATL...

Not to mention, I have only owned like 6 of those faggot cars over the last 6 years, and own 2 currently. Haha

I read "strongest erection." Was fairly worried that this was the cause of such...but strangest is a little more understandable.

My probes with drop spindles will probably not let me do too much "turning" as I'm sure you know, they push the wheels out a touch. A lot of people say they don't, but on my truck they certainly do...and they aren't AIM/Chassis Tech stuff.

I've thought of mesh wheels, but haven't seen them on a bodied truck like mine. That may be a good thing though.

I "can" run 17's, but something about this setup I have now, I don't want any larger. A 165/50 I believe is the exact same (1mm under) height. I'll probably run that size on whatever I end up getting. They seem impossible to find though. I REALLY don't want to run a 195/40 or something like that.
Yea I can understand the turning issues and stuff. I'm thinking seriously about putting the front of mine on air since I love the way it sits now but I can barely turn the damn thing. I haven't really seen any bagged trucks your body style on meshies either and I think it'd be sick and unique as hell. You're definitely sitting right on the 16's, I was just thinking 17's would fill it out a little more but I don't see much more reason to go bigger since they fit the truck, I'd just try to go with a classier style wheel.

I need to secure the rear most wiring (tail light looms), put the battery in and wire it up, wire my switches (cake), and figure out which gauge gets which airlines. I think next on my major project list is the dashboard and seats. While I plan on going a bit lower (half way through the rockers) the dash and seats will remain as they are shape wise and all. I've got a buddy in GA that can easily handle all of it. Copper of some material, not sure if I want tweed, leather, or some other material. Seats will see the same treatment.

DOT line works for the time being.
Unfortunately, I know the feeling all to well. I tore my car down to the chassis (minus the wiring harness) two years ago, re-did most of the engine bay, then ran out of time and had to put it back together. Here I am staring at it going "I should pull that all out again..."

I look forward to the rest of your build, it makes me happy to see people taking builds into their own hands and just rocking it.

I need some 5x114.3 16x7 +40 or so wheels. I like the rotiform single forge style but i'd like a touch of lip as well.

Can you guys throw some links on my post of different wheel manufacturers? I know the bigger names but haven't read/researched enough to really get an idea.
Look through VR Wheels, you have your pick of used JDM goodness.

I think a set of BBS Cruise wheels would look minty...
