Hi guys and girls.
I'm new here, managed to stumble up on your site while searching the internet for some ideas, I must start by saying some amazing vehicles on here, great jobs!
ok so, my current small project is a 2001 Peugeot 206, I know nothing truly amazing, but I promise there is potential... over here every 18 year old buys a saxo vtr or a 106 and gives it a 60mm drop with reverse rake and thinks they're "low".... so I thought I'd try and go a little further.....
The day I got her I threw on a set of 406 coupe 15"s painted white, and a set of Weitec coilovers up front and wound it down approximately 85mm

then adjusted the rear torsion bar set up to roughly 90mm lower

wheels (and balloon tyres) were a little wide, as you can see...

I ran it like this for a little while whilst I thought of ideas for really getting it to hit the ground... then yesterday I went too it.
got it up on the ramps and started by adjusting the rear torsion bar suspension further

then stripped down the fronts, made some custom collars for the shock bodies to give an extra 30mm drop (on top of the 120mm they're already capable of) welded these in place VERY carefully and repainted the shock body...

now this new low caused a little problem as the wheels are a et12, instead of the et25 recommended, so the car sat on the tyres and required some "flaring"
so we begin at the back as these needed less, (bare in mind we've never done anything like this before so we're "learning")
initial pull and beating

ground and cleaned, "rough"

fronts initial flare and pull..... (very rough)

then as it was very late we threw a little paint just to seal it for the weekend while I use it and test for any rolling problems before we carry on... currently sat approx 140mm lower than standard




FUTURE PLANS
unsure on the front arches so finish or redesign those
Larger "absorbent" rear bump stops as it currently harsher than harsh.
smooth and finish the rear arches
roll the side sill "lip" and re-inforce jack points for easier access
smooth out the rear bumper exhaust recess
complete respray in a matt finish or nato/nimbus grey type colour (very undecided)
fit some dished wheel when I find the right set.
Currently debating the front arches and have a few ideas in mind to change those slightly, also my friends trying to convince me on wheels, so we’re debating alot of different style’s... personally im a fan of banded Steelies, 15x8 up front and 15x9 rears with the centres colour matched to the eventual car colour...
My friends a huge fan of split rim/dish look, so BBS and such are being proposed...
I do however like the look of these, but I am going to have to run some hub spacers/converter to get most styles to fit.....

Any recommendation ideas for rims would be appreciated
