Thanks! could you elaborate? Haha. My plan was to simply shorten the top a-arms to add camber.

Putting turnbuckles in place of the original upper control arms will allow you to adjust them. The rod ends will allow the geometry of the UCA to change as the length shortens without binding up the knuckles.

Something like the toe arms I make for Ford Focuses, but two of them.



If you want, send me the original UCAs and knuckles and I'll fab the new arms and knuckles you'd need to make it work. The budget won't exceed what you're intending to spend.

Really? Which tracks did you race at? I used to race a Birel chassis in the KT100 class for a few years, funnest thing I'll ever do. Still miss it to this day. And looking back, that thing was slammed. I mean, what other vehicle has a seat that scrapes? Glad to see some other kraters on here!

I raced all over. Raced in Chapel Hill, NY. Beaverun, PA Concord, NC and plenty of other tracks. I have alot of laps and championships under my belt. Yeah i was the start pupal for a small chassis company here in PA called "Answer" then i got a ride from Phantom Chassis and was on there chassis's till i stopped racing flat karts. Yeah i am racing Asphalt Late Models now since the go-kart scene was to easy and slowing down since the economy sucks. Yeah when i talk about low those kart chassis's were so low. Miss those days

I really hope you just started a trend, dumped gokarts are soo much cooler than the stretched scooters running around all the events now, I just found a cheap frame on CL and I just bought a welder, can you smell great learning project?

No real progress, most of the weekend was spent collecting parts for the motor swap for my car. I did manage to get a nice e30/ e28 steering wheel from my friend and started cutting the front suspension up. Still running into a spring problem though. I meant to get a pic, but even at its farthest point(widest angle), the current shock is just resting on the floor. Currently looking for a smaller shock.

Went to F1 boston yesterday with a few friends... been going there for years, its an indoor kart track. Kinda wanna make a shifter kart now, maybe a drift kart? haha... good luck with the build, looks fun.

Thats my point! Haha. I'd have to make a new top mount, which would require rewelding the whole front sides of the frame haha. I'd rather not do that. Either way, I'm going and throwing sparks once the newcarb finally gets here.
