Don't know if anyone remembers but I had the ugly ass Festiva that was sitting on the ground. Well I'm back with the car I've always wanted to build. A 1992 Volvo 245 wagon.
Backstory: Mom bought this car for my little brother when he was 16. It was in cherry condition, 5 speed, ~215k miles. Well he drove it for 5 years (hitting a deer, a gate, a pole, another car) and never once cleaned it. Fast forward to two weeks ago and he called me to tell me it won't run and he'll sell it to me for 200$. Upon inspection, it has some burnt valves and all the motor mounts are destroyed. So I'm in the process of getting it how I want it cosmetically while I rebuild a head for it.
Day I got it:

Notice the body is covered in dents
Yesterday I actually got to dive into it and get the broken mounts out and start working on the suspension. Primary plans are no springs
I don't mind the ride for the look, for now.
Future suspension plans are shortened shocks/struts with universal coils. Also, removing all trim and filling holes, hardwood floors, black paint, office chair seating, and whatever else I can come up with.
Where I'm really torn, wheels. Volvos have a funky lug pattern (5x108) that they share with some Jags, Fords, Land Rovers, and Ferraris. I'm bringing tucked back, so no need for stretched tires or giant lips. Just want an OEM wheel that looks good. My other option is adapters to make it 5x114.3 and that opens a whole new world of options
Pic as of the morning:

The hood sits flatish, just popped in the picture. Once I get the front struts out, I'll have a pic of it hopefully tucking 14"s
