never understood that. its not any more ugly than an e24 and not too far off from an e28. . i just always liked big bodied cars, whether it be american made or german.

yea i will post pictures of it fully raised. its under the knife with the 5 speed swap so i will have to update this thread.

small update. 5 speed swap began.

started tearing down to do the pedal box swap. found out that the brake booster was leaking at the pedal side. needed to buy a new unit as i didn't want to play around rebuilding this.




pedal box disconnected





this is the best opportunity to replace the booster anyway. i didnt have to remove the master cylinder because i could slide it out towards the rear of the car.












pedal box primed with rustoleum and painted with black lacquer.



new clutch master cylinder





cruise control is for women. removed that which will help tidy up under the hood as i clean it up later.




fresh hoses for everything that connects to the power steering reservoir





all in. next is the fun part of dropping that heavy autotragic.

Hell ya! Just remember getting to all the bell housing bolts, unbolting the motor mounts and jacking up the front to allow it to swivel helps out a ton.
