Trimmed up the framerail sorta thing and made a rather excessively sized wheel tub today.
I'm leaving a lot of minor things out of this build thread because I feel they're unneccessary for the "stance" aspect of the car, once certain things take place and look like something, I'll post them up aswell.

Thank you guys a lot! .
Took some time and started welding in the tub for good and blending it in, also filled in a number of holes in the same frame rail and cleaned up the notch for the transmission quite a lot.
I intend to blend the transmission mount in, and fill in the dips in the framerail that are still visible.

Haven't actually worked on the car itself lately, been doing some side jobs to try and save up for these wheel modifications 'cause shit is EXPENSIVE. I really have no idea how the hell I'm going to fit the wheels, I just know that I will.
Nice work on the engine bay as well. Boredom works well for you. I wish I would knock out the little things like that instead of game-planning compound boost instead.I Have No Idea What I'm Doing

Excited to see the wheels. Saw on Hipstergram the other day you got a notification they were done among pictures of other motor things you were doing. Excited to see what's going on.

So, kinda hauled ass on the engine bay tonight. This is not the update I was mentioning before, this is just extra bonus stuff that I got motivated to do... Really motivated.
So, a little background, factory upper engine mount is ugly, huge and generally would bug the ever-living-fuck out of me had I left it alone. So, said fuck it, and cut the entire thing out. Started from scratch. I want the wheel tubs and the engine alone to be the center of attention in the bay, so I set off to design an engine mount that was mostly unseen. So far so good.
Pictures of said factory engine mount:
Gonezo:
The beginning of "the new hotness":
This has been sectioned into the frame, and is welded into both vertical sides of the framerail, as well as welded horizontally to the top of the frame rail on three sides. It ain't going NOWHERE.
And this, is now all you can see:
So, why stop there for tonight? Decided I'd finally built that gat-dang wheel tub for the right side, aswell:
FINALLY, my engine bay is starting to look like something again. I need to toss the engine back in now and finish the engine side of the new mount. I've had the engine in and out a total of 17 times since the engine-raising began. This is getting out of hand.
One more to tide you over until the weekend of awesome.
Pretty excited about how blurry that one is. Oh well, deal with it.
