Read through the whole thread now, I'm very impressedI liked how it came out with the Corvette wheels, but the new wheels are more awesome
I also noticed your gearbox is a F23, so that reminds me that the Cavalier is very much alike as the european Opel Vectra/Signum platform
But it's cool
Keep up the good work

Man, that's a nice car! Never heard of it though! Just noticed but, as Modlendingen says above about it using Vectra platform, original Vectras in the UK were called Cavaliers...coincidence? Known in Europe as the Vectra A.... Anyway, nice looking car! You're doing great work on it, you got skills!!

Went to the shop late last night with some motivation and intent on starting and finishing part two of my engine mount re-design. I almost immediately fucked it up, but all was not lost. I decided it was a good chance to make it work and just to verify that this was going to work and look decently.
I'm happy to say that it will. I preach constantly about measuring three-thousand times and cutting once, but I got jumpy last night and now I get to start over. Regardless, the few hours I spent last night were not a total waste.
Started with this:
Which turned into this (you can see that I cut the vertical height too short, poop):
And mocked up in the bay:
I'm very happy with how it turned out, it pleases me to see that it is very tucked in to the engine.
I'll get it redone this week. We're getting closer! Soon enough I'll be able to build a new downpipe and charge pipes, and start doing the fun stuff again.Last edited by HooWybrow; 01-16-2013, 09:52 PM.

Great work though man. Cavalier or not, the amount of work, effort and your own vision in this car, is gangster.
I also wish i had the work space you had, for my car... lol.
