So, you'll never guess what's happened. We're moving to a new shop. It's 112% bigger times two than our current one. Lately I've been ridiculously busy working on a few side jobs for friends and some other people. Got myself super worn down, took the weekend off and started feeling great again.
So, tonight. I went out to the shop with intent to clean up the fucking disaster that is my current shop, and start packing aswell.
Well, it basically turned into my cleaning out the Cavalier and briefly working on it again. I kinda caught my "second wind" if you will.
Not much to show just yet and it will likely stay that way until we move shops (September 1st), but I got a few small things done that are just ideas that I wasn't sure if they'd work, so far so good.
I really want the right-hand drive interior to represent a very clean OEM+ styling. One thing that had bugged me until recently was the express-down feature on the left side window. Being that this is the passenger side now it would drive me nuts not having that feature on my (drivers) side.
After a short bit of research (and some asking of the electrical guru at work) I found out that a Buick driver's door module of roughly the same year would work perfectly as a candidate to wire in for express-down feature on the right side. That problem solved, I needed to figure out how to match the window switches. I basically took the rocker switch off of one assembly, and added it to my already "auto" window switch. The new rocker is a little scratched up, but it will definitely work for now.
(The car only has one set of window switches, mounted in the center console.)
Anyways, I'm back at the car, and with the new shop I'll be able to work on everything happily all at once. Can't wait.
