K, gentlemen, I need honest opinions. I bead-rolled the firewall piece today, ripped out the front suspension quick tonight and welded in said piece. At first, I absolutely loved it, now... I'm really unsure about it.

    Honesty.

Regardless, unless I lose sleep over this (which is totally possible), it stays, because it's welded in there pretty solid.

    Blast this infernal car.

Darn tootin', Ashtonio. Yeah, just called you Ashtonio, and you're gonna deal with it.

Took the entire weekend off the car, was SO nice. Finally got motivated again today at work, and decided I'd start tackling that giant hole. How did I deal with it, you ask... I made it bigger.

    Start:

Another one thousand spot welds later, voila:

    Made up my template

    Steel made up:

Going to have my cousin bead-roll it tomorrow, in a similar fashion to what is drawn on the piece of sheet-metal. Initially I had planned on bead-rolling it straight across, but if it wasn't completely identical to the factory straight bead-rolls on the firewall, my OCD would make my head explode.

Once the main piece is welded in, then I can made the rest of the fillers and hopefully finish this firewall up by the end of the week.

Wow, your work is amazing. There will never be a cavi this awesome ever.
    Thanks, dude!

Picked up some 'JDM' Toyota Cavalier power-folding mirrors last night. Pretty happy to have a right-hand drive mirror set.

Onle one picture for now, they'll hide away in my room until I'm ready to put the doors back on/wire the car.

One more piece of the puzzle.

Well thank you for the compliment! I try to keep it as nice as I can, sometimes it doesn't work out so well.

4 bolts, 11.38 seconds. You don't call that quick?
