Labor of love is an understatement. I'm glad to know that I can motivate someone to willing cause themselves more stress in their life.

The Del Sol project is on temporary hold until I get my new air compressor and lines in. Then I will go to work. I have to replace the wheel studs and don't want to do any of that work with only hand tools.

AND on Thursday I picked up THIS!

There isn't that much wheel gap. But the road slopes down on the right side of the car. This may further delay work on the Del Sol because I'm tempted to just buy some coilovers. But I plan to sell some of my other cars that I haven't touched in a while and make my Del Sol the only real project car....

....... ok..... ok...... ok...... the MAIN project car! but with less distractions.

OK....OK... OK..... remember how I told you all that I get distracted.

    Well, I bought this:

    ... to sell it.

But it had a misfire. So in trying to get that straightened out I found that someone messed with the wires. So I fixed. And unfortunately drove it. And it has an original B16 in it. And it's a quick little bastard. So I'm tempted to keep it. I can only imagine how much faster my white one is going to be when it's up and running 100%. Then I will have a white one and a black one. It feels so nice to drive with the top off.

    Decisions. Decisions.

I'm going to try to post a picture up of the back of the wheel and the tire tomorrow. Sad.... so sad.

I was going to pick up some wheel studs to get the car back up and driving. But then remembered that "my" air compressor got repo'd (neighbor wanted it back to use HIS compressor) and I burnt a hole through my air hose in two spots. So I might just hold off until I buy my own compressor and replacement hose. AND I might as well wait until I order my coilovers to install them at the same time. AND I might as well order the wheels at the same time. AND I might as well replace the fender. AND...

.... well, you get the point. I might just wait a bit. I've also bought a few other cars. Not to part out this time. I bought them to sell them.

Annnnnnd I spoke with someone today about buying something that they have that I have wanted and he's selling it for the price I have been waiting to find it for. SO I can't pass that one up! (How's that for being vague?)

I promise to show you guys once I get what it is that I want for the price I have been willing to pay if it was ever being sold for that. KNOWWHATIMEAN?!?!?!

You are correct. Ironic thing is that I destroyed a mint white fender at the junkyard to get to the hood release cable.

I don't want it to ever happen to me AGAIN! I'm fortunate that this happen on my street. I was able to run down the street and grab my jack. Even with that it still took a good ten minutes to get in high enough for the tow truck to get underneath of it. I just hope when i put everything back together that my radiator support didn't shift.

Had this happen anywhere else I would be screwed and even more damage would have been done getting it on a tow truck. So I consider myself fortunate.

So, I bled the clutch and was going to go around the block. When I shifted into second....

    THIS HAPPEN

And a close up once it was towed back down the street.

This literally happen within a few hundred feet from my house. Basically a first to second shift. Broke two wheel studs completely off. Sheared the other two off. Fucked my mint fender all up! Probably did some other damage that I am not aware of yet.

I can't even be pissed. I NOW remember that I said to myself that I was going to switch lugs before I drove it down the street.

I picked up another clutch hard line and was able to replace it right before it started raining. Hopefully I can bleed the clutch tomorrow and move the car once again. I also realized that the EG Civic that I'm parting out has lowering springs and struts installed. They don't appear blown. So I may swap them out on my Del Sol temporarily until I order my new coilovers.
