  • Marty's Jetta Five from Belgium

Hi everybody, i'm gonna introduce myself.

My name is Martijn Sterck, i'm 24 years old and i'm from the East-Flanders in Belgium. 1st i drove a clean 306, but then i tought it was time for something bigger & younger. So in march, i bought this VW Jetta Mk5 from August 2010.

Some pic's how he rolled up the driveway:

    Trunk before:

    and after:

    I stopped by the style-shop for a chrome plate-holder:
    Before:

    After:

Then it was time to focus on the front, so I bougth a full chrome grill:

    Then I installed a U.K. foglight:

    Bought a Pioneer Avic F930BT navigation with USB-input, ...

A few weeks ago me and my buddy dropped it on coilovers. (CELLPHONE pic's)

And added a few stickers on the window (will do some of them again, because i'm not so happy with the result )

Next week off to the technical control and to Tommy (RRAS) for the airride suspension

Let me know what you guys think so far ...

Monday we started on the In Car Entertainment part of the car, also keeping in mind the air must take a place to.

Me and my buddy made the basic concept for the installation.

    The goal:
    - a moderate setup
    - 12" sub
    - amplifier (concealed)
    - airride ( also concealed)
    - 2x LED spots

Here's the basic of it all:

And a compartment for my pressure meters:

Normaly i should get my hands on everything tomorrow, or at least friday, so tomorrow i will get myself some electric cables and the LED spots

Hope you understand the things i'm writing, 'cause my English isn't that good

Past days we did a few jobs that were necessary to make it all work. We placed all of the electric cable's, wires and air hoses. When that was done, we could connect it all and take it for a little test. Everything 's good, the compressor is making pressure, but still there's something wrong on the valves.

The wooden panel, to be placed in small compartment:

      Little step further:

Cut a piece out of the box for the meter to get in:

Everything 's in, with a fresh beer for the hard work:

Later next week it will go to the garage for the final installment off the bags themselves

      Let the wheel-fitting begin

Thx. Alphard are very nice indeed, but i'm looking 4 something with a nice lip. My choice is made like half a year ago, but i'm not telling wich ones it will be.

And on the suspension, we're getting there

The goal is to get the Mk5 on some wide shoes, as wide as possible offcourse with a stretched tyre. ( 9 or 9,5 in front and 9,5 or 10 at the back with 4x 215-35 or 2x 215-35 and 2x 225-35 ) Will try to get this stance. ( D'tek's Jetta )

Just love this one, so let this be my example.

Hi there you StanceWorkers. It's been a while since my latest visit.

Not much has happened on the air-side of things. Problems with the technical control for the lowered suspension. Hope it will all be fixed by this week, because i'm tyred of waiting

As for the setup, we did a good job the past few weeks, look for yourselves.

This is how we dit the setup (not much of importance, 'cause it all remains hidden:

And my buddy covered the 1st plate with leather:

Tomorrow i'll get started om the sides to place some spots in and also try to cover them

                      Long time no seen!

Meanwhile he's got some bags by RRAS:

And the install looks like this:

Next to my colleague's Dodge RAM:

And next to an original Jetta:

The wheels are being made by Image with 9 ET35 in front and 9,5 ET40 at the back.
This week i will try to place the following updates:

                      - xenon 6000k
                      - set US blinkers on 30%
                      - a bit more leather in the trunk
                      - get my tyres at the garage (215-35 & 225-35 Toyo Proxes T1R)
                      - and maybee get me some metal airvalves for the rims
                      - ...

Hope they arrive soon, because i'm so curious to get them on the car

More pic's will follow later this week.

                        The piece off the trunk:

                        The left side in:

                        And the right also:

But as you can see for yourselves, the right part hasn't turned out that good, so this will go back to where it came from to do it the right way ...

In the meanwhile the tyres are waiting to get mounted on the wheels
                        215-35-18 & 225-35-18 Toyo Proxes T1R

This monday i recieved an e-mail from Image, what says:

                        "Hi Martijn,

The wheels will be ready the end of this month/ 1st week of April.

                        Regards,

                        Jason."
