I'm working on some new ideas, gonna trim the front a little to make it more maneuverable, add a bumper to protect the front sheet metal, and add some copper trim for around the wheels with new routed exhaust exiting the front fenders. I recently got a lm7 and 4l80e so a modern drivetrain swap might be in order (and maybe a single turbo for kicks).

cool, dude. I hear ya on the paint. I've wanted to paint my 57 for 4 years, but so many other things took priority over it

Thanks very much, I have been enjoying the way it looks with the weathered original paint, that is why I faked it onto the cab and doors. I'll probably finish it off that way for a "barn find" look. However, as in any project, I always want that forward motion, so when I do complete the chassis, drivetrain, bed and interior I'll likely straighten and repair the body and then paint it the original color.

Sometimes I feel the same way brother(see above), but having a finished ride leaves little to the imagination. Somehow the unfinished cars end up looking a little cooler because of this(in my opinion).

I have some cnc's at work that I can use for my own use on the weekends. I am not against hand milling, i've made a few parts for my motorcycle on a 3 axis gorton mill.
