Primo`s 1982 Golf mk1

Hy!
First of all ,i would like to appologize formy poor english ,but peale, bare with me.
The car was built in 1982 ,in West-Germany.It came out of the factory with a whoping 1,1 L carb engine and a 4-speed manual gearbox.In some stage of the cars life ,someone had (dare i say) upgraded the engine to a 1,3L one.Also a carb.And then i got hold of it.It was in the summer of 2009.
It looked like this.

i had some new rims for it.14X6,5 , tyres were 195/45R14

Installed coilovers and the endresult was something like that.


Then i drove it for a while and did a little bodywork.



But the 1,3 engine just wast enough for me...

so , as i was saying , the engine just wast good enough for me ,and the bodywork was made in a hurry and didnt look good.
First thing first.I had bought i set of wheel for my car.15X7 and et 25 , they would have looked pretty good ,but i sold them.

During the winter i removed the old engine


and here is the new engine in place

Its a 2,0L 2e engine from a mk3 golf gti.I am using the original o2a cableshift gearbox and hydraulic clutch.
Time for some welding.

new panel in place,welded and smoothened.



Then it sat like this for a while.


New exshaust , stillno shure about it...

Removed the gas tank in order to replace the carb tank with GTI one.

And removed a shitload of paint and filler to see exactly in what state the body really was.

I found a picture that was made about a year ago.I was still driving around with the 1,3 engine.The wheels are widened corrado steelies, 15X8,5 with 195/45 tyres.

and here is just a random shot of my hobby ,witch is airbrushing.

and here is how it sits now.

wheels are exip 13X6 ET12 and tyres 175/50R13.The rear coils are all the way down ,front ones have about 1 inch left.
The latest news are ,that i bought a stainless steel manifold ,some new wheels and a g60 engine head ,brackets and all the other bits and pieces.So pretty soon its going to be a mk1 with 2,0Lg60 compressor engine.

The wheels are bbs rs 15X8 , et12 ,the lips are 2" and they are Audi fitment.

And thats the manifold.
