This weekend the Z goes under the knife. Or grinder...
Everything is coming out, interior, suspension... I'm not sure where it will stop.
Last "operational" pic for the year..

Sitting here in awe of the plans you've stated. I'm going to assume solely by the quality of your welds and the fact that you've already bought the wheels that you're fully capable of this build. can't wait to see the insane widebody work you're going to have to do to make those wheels work, Good luck man! subbed this is about to get wild.

And then there's the motor, which is a big part of it. The engine cradle will be tied right into the overall frame, it wont use traditional mounts. I don't really want to make a modular subframe that can be taken out and replaced for the V8 another year down the road, I want the whole design to center around that motor, so... that will keep things from progessing as quickly as I'd like. Also the transmission... I have a T5 5-speed currently, which works for now, but again I don't really want to redo parts of the floor/cage down the road for a T56 or whatever else comes along. Well see...
Here's an old screen capture of a 180 degree manifold layout from a while back. This is by no means what the end result will look like, only a quick layout to see how all 8 runners would possibly route (there would be lengths of piping between the elbows;-)) and cross over. 1.5" sch5 for the NA versions, and sch10 later for the twin turbo version.
Pay no mind to the absolute lack of any and all detail on the block and heads:-) The runner location and spacing is correct, and thats all I needed for this. And the reducers... those will be collectors like those posted earlier.

I'm really excited to watch this build, TT uz is going to be crazy haha. My dad and I (along with the help of a few friends) have been building a 1uz '99 miata, while your engine bay is a lot bigger than ours I'm really interested to see your mount system/ turbo configuration. Heres a shitty cellphone pic of the uz sitting on the mounts for the first time, this was taken a few months ago and the car is getting really close, I'm with you on ****** waiting on parts, were waiting on AC/PS lines from amazon. We could honestly get the wiring done and start the car this weekend but my dad really wants everything done and perfect before we crank it up.IG/TWITTER @alloydhiggins
