i trimmed the back so that it wasnt so deep. i took about 4 inches off the back and stopped right before the defrost vent. the stock mk2 dash is insanely shallow. the mk4 one fits side to side for the most part but its so deep that i couldnt reach the pedals hahah and i have long ass legs

also, i started to work on one of the towers tonight. its as low as it will go at the moment because its sitting on the tow hooks. i need to finish welding/grinding/primer tomorrow.

definitely has less reverse rake but im still not happy.... guess i need to cut the tow hooks off

the front seems good to me, but I still think that the rear is too low... but this is just my opinion, and your opinion is more important

        I'm curious about the dashboard...

the one thing thats a huge deal is the door cards. you have to cut the shit out of them unless you dont run the end caps on the dash

                    I know what you mean...

but the rear (IMO) just seems good "so low" if the front would be even lower....

About the car, that white really inprove the look of that Jetta

i hope to have it finished and ready for paint before the new year. this is whats left to do.... (kind of a list so i dont forget)

finish other strut tower/paint engine bay
                            notch frame for axles/tierods
                            tidy up wiring
put engine in, route coolant hoses and boost piping
                            finish dashboard
                            carpet/door cards
put a floor in the trunk
                            finish installing air ride
                            paint

oh i will, i just wanted to try the color out. i have many things left to do before bodywork and paint. id like to build the wheels up first so i can make the fenders the way i want.

also, i got some shit done tonight. its sitting about as low as it can in the front now. sway bar is out, tie rods are flipped, and i modded the control arms a bit. on top of that the strut towers are raised 2 inches. i have a bit of welding left to do in the bay, gotta close up some holes and such. if i can get that done, the engine should be able to go in on friday.

on another note, i need to order some bigger lips for the wheels. they dont fill out the fenders enough, especially with the rear ones pulled like they are. anybody have some 15" rm/rs lips for sale??
