this is going to be awesome. im glad you got rid of that old fabrication, those welds were dodgy looking (and even worse to see that it wasn't even fully welded!). loving the new work done. and those arms. they look familiar... were they the ones that were going to go on the '2012 c/s... ' truck?

            awesome.
takes guts to keep cutting up your work like that. but in the end it will all pay off. looking forward to see the end result.

I love that Style Link Arm. I think its just clean and not many people agree with the looks of them. I like this build man. Coming from a fellow mini trucker

The arms are solid billet and will have some designs milled I'n them soon.

First off Id like to say this is a sweet looking build. rear suspension looks great and cant wait to see what gets done as far as the designs your talking about.

Second, Id like to ask a question. (no mini truck experience here) It seems like articulation side to side in this design of a rear suspension is limited just to the amount of play there is in the bushings. Is ride quality just an expected casualty in a build like this or is there something im not seeing. All the same it looks like an awesome build and an awesome truck.

Their really wont be any side to side movement the truck is just gonna be set up on a simple front and back setup. Hope that is what you where getting at. lol

you could always just modify the link bars to accept spherical bearings in place of the bushes, which would allow better articulation. not essential though, the current setup looks like it will work ok too.

on the topic of machining the link arms for design/weight purposes, i think they almost are perfect just as they are, as you've designed all the chassis parts to be the same style, so it all looks really good together and i think if you were to (for example...) machine holes or an i-beam structure or whatever into them, they'd no longer be in the same design as the rails (unless of course you also added holes/features to the chassis rails too, but would take much more work than milling aluminum)

keep it up, the build is awesome.
