  • New Mercedes Project...AMG This Time

My new CL55! Here is how she sits at the moment.

Haven't decided what exactly I'm going to do with it. I don't want to go too much lower on factory ABC because I don't want to undermine the longevity of the struts. I'm thinking down the road either coilover/hydraulic hybrid or just straight hydraulic. If I did it though, I'm keeping performance and handling top priorities. Anyway, let me know what you think.

deff cant wait to see what you do with this one

id stick with coils if you want more performance, or maybe some bagyard supreme struts valved for more performance

Why not use the links to lower it on ABC and drive it on highest level? Cheapest solution right? I know, high rideheight sucks bit still.

How many horsepower does it have? In europe we have a few versions of the 55amg (333hp, 476hp and 500hp). Not sure how it is in the states.

Awesome ride, and it looks soooo clean! Drooooool

I used to have a w220 s500, the service on it hurt my pocket more than I wanted too. I just ended up using my w202 as a daily driver.

It only lifts in an inch or so with ABC. It's not worth me blowing the struts. I'll live with it being 4x4 status

                  It has 493 bhp

20mm spacers and call it a day?

Looks amazing, I love those pillar-less windows that Benz does

Aww you poor thing. Sure that's enough?

Aren't there any replacement struts that might fix that little problem? Old friend of mine had an sl55 on abc. Worked like a charm with the new links.

Although I have to admit he didn't drive to many miles with it. If you want I could send you a pic with the result of the merc links mod..

                            Good luck with the car!

Thanks. I actually have modified the links already to make it at this current height. I'll figure out some cool suspension to do eventually; for now, I'll just keep it as-is.
