Gosh I had forgotten I was registered on this forum! There have been a few updates since the last one so I'll add them all up in one go...! The car is almost finished. I hope to pick her up today after work...

Anyway, back to a load of updates!

    My new wheels have arrived

Mock up shot of them next to the car coming soon....

Thanks to Lee of VAD | Premier Alloy Wheels, Custom Design and Aero Kit Styling | Prestige and Performance Cars, 4x4 and Custom Vehicles and Agim Jones of Luxury Abstract | Facebook

Can you guess what the next part of my project is...?

Finally a teaser shot of a wheel against my car!

    More to come soon...

Solid silver centre cap with a bit of a play with the black diamonds...

The logo will be set with treated red diamonds, and Luxury Abstract will be painted in red cold enamel.

The cap will also be dipped in black rhodium to give it a black gloss look, otherwise known as "black gold"

      Test fit of the wheels...oops...!

sneak peek at the new colour...

How you like dem 13" wide apples?

Nearly finished...Just waiting on front camber arms and then we're ready to go!! So close and i want to start enjoying her in this weather with all the stance set up and the sun hitting the colour, which will look fantastic in the sun!!

My car has been papped by a clubaristo forum member today (I think!)

we're almost going full retard with the camber with this one...haha

So so nearly done. I'm heading over to France today for a few days and would have loved to have taken the car over. Unfortunately, the static height of the rear dampers is set 50mm too low for safety, and there is no more adjustment in the damper thread so he's machining a spacer to make sure that in the case of airbag failure (which has happened once), the arches and outer rims don't get destroyed. I should have the car back when I'm back from France on Wednesday!

Last update pics before the unveiling!

Damper spacer to add 50 mm extra height.

        Installed

        (safe) STANCE!

          Almost there...!

So nearly finished! The front dampers need to be raised a couple of mm. The problem with these dampers is that... because of the airbag design and air hose feed...to adjust the height...you have to take the whole bloody thing off! The adjustable arms look wicked on the front, there had to be some metal cut away to get them to fit and the upright has been strengthened by him too. For the wheels to clear he machined off some material off the calipers. The alignment equipment was delivered to him for use today...but couldn't be used as there wasn't enough space between the arch and the wheel lol. They're coming back tomorrow and he's modifying their equipment to get it sorted.

The camber is about -5 on front and back and it looks so awesome from behind. The tyre contact patch is utterly ridiculous at about half! It will be even less on the front (about 2/5 ths) . Just as well I only have 4 shows to do in September with about 6 to 700 miles of driving as I don't think they'll last more than 1000 miles before I have to change them and those rears are £350 a pop!!

So I'm picking her up tomorrow for a little bit then returning the car next week for a couple of finishing touches such as painting the calipers in body colour before I have my cover shoot with a well known UK tuning magazine.

            Drive height

The 19 x 11 fronts look so skinny compared to the 13"'s on the back haha

So Will took the car to get aligned...and the car was too wide to get on the ramp. You couldn't make this up lol! It's going to another place where the equipment is built into the floor tomorrow...Soon my pretty, soon...

Well i picked up the car on Thursday evening, all very exciting, polishing it with Will!

Left his unit and then 1.5 miles later, my gearbox went pop. ARGHHHHH!

Got it recovered back to the uni and new gearbox is on its way to be fitted. What a shit load of luck.

In the meantime, here are a couple of pics...
