Sooo, it's been almost two years since I passed my test and I got my first car, handed down when my parents got a new car to me.
Being 17 in the UK insurance is killer on ANY car you get, and the fact that the engine is a 1.8 I paid ridiculous amounts.

So I got my focus completely standard, the car had been in the family 8 years already, working its way from 33k on the clock to about 86k when It was handed over to me. At this current day it stands at 129k.

I got the car like this (excuse the poor quality!)

Before today it had about 2 sets of cheap aftermarket wheels, crappy seat covers etc etc Stuff that made it more rice than nice.

Before owning a car I was oblivious to the car scene completely so everything was new to me. I didn't intend on keeping the car, and there is many times i've felt like selling it and buying VAG or JAP but i've kept to it.

Eventually I got it sitting on springs but it wasnt enough, so I found some coilovers and got them right away.

Focus's sit high as fcuk standard and even with the coils wound far down I still had alot of ground clearance.

Eventually I got some 15" Rs2K's. Arguably some say 15"'s are too small for the arches of a focus but with the amount of money I am working with.

Being a student 90% of my entire cash flow goes into this car. I love it.

I started getting tired of the car, the crappy PCD which makes buying wheels a nightmare because it's so un-common. I wanted to sell up, and buy a civic.
Until a friend told me about some wheels...

Borbet Type A's on a local forum. I checked them out immediately and at a steal of a price. I got them a week later.
15x8 all round wrapped in 195/45/15 Falkens.
and they had the 4x108 drilled out

The rears sit perfectly in my opinion, i cant have more than one passenger in the back otherwise smoke pours from the tyre rubbing on the arch.
I also had to get smaller nuts so that the center caps would fit on. They arn't the legit caps either, just plastic ones. The metal ones are rare as rocking horse shit. And cost a bomb. I also wanted flatcaps...

The clearcoat was a bit crappy on the two rear wheels, so I took wet and dry to the dish and took it off, ready to build it back up to 3000 grade to get that shine back.

I wanted some flatcaps baaaad. But finding some was hard work and I dont have to much money to spend so I spoke to a friend...

I let him one of the plastic caps and this is what he came back with. And for a minuscule price too. Im going to look at getting them engraved with Borbet just like the originals, like this...

I figured eventually I will get them completely mirror polished

So from today this is what it looks like. Sitting 5cm from the floor as the front and still turns left on the coils.

(badd rake, boot loads of stuff and people sitting in the back)

Things I know I need to do:
    Finish cleaning up the dish
Pull the front arches (1cm of tread poke)
    De-tango lights
    Need a good service
Wind down the front as far as it will go.
    Sort rust
    Sort scratches

    C&C, I hope you like!

    Thanks.

I think 16's on foci look best. But either way, really feelin the look. I traded my dead-engined focus 3 dr for a mz3 and really wish I just kept it and swapped the motor.
            God bless this mess

                GREAT!

I have one just like yours, i'm from Portugal. I'll insert a picture of mine later tonight.

Love your wheels! I have the same problem with the wheels size, because mine is a 1.4L and here to legalize more than 15 inch wheels is a lot of money...

                Keep it up!
