It's all good. It's mostly cone marks that wipe off. I spent a few hours yesterday cleaning her up and putting on the Gottis, so she looks okay again. There's a few marks and dents that didn't buff out, but I don't mind. Just reminders of good times!

Haha thanks! If you like her now, you should be very pleased with what I plan on doing the rest of the year.

Had a much better day at the track this weekend! The track was much better suited to my car's level and I was a lot more aggressive. It was also a much smaller event, so I probably made 40 passes and felt like I progressed a good bit.

Thanks bros! Found a couple of pics from this weekend. No action shots yet, but maybe for the best, as I didn't drive great.

And a couple of better pics of the donor:

WITH 230K mi. on the clock, and counting. This is a very important point.

And that's probably a conservative estimate, given the state of the M52. And let's not forget it will be all rumbly and loud as hell. This is also quite important.

Got a lot more planned too. Hopefully this will be a beast by this time next year!

Why a 5.0? Unless you drop a few grand into it it's not going to be much faster then your current engine is now.
The few grand will most likely happen. I wouldn't be gaining much if I had an S52, but my car is a 323 (M52B25). I'll be picking up +40hp and +105tq with just the stock 5.0 with no significant weight gain. I imagine it will be exponentially faster than it is now.
