Well some things have changed with the vert. Air ride sold back in July, went to a ground control setup. After swapping out suspensions and driving on coils again I wish I would have kept the air ride. Good thing is the rear is already modified for bags. So its a direct bolt in if I decide to go back.
As most of you know I sold the 17s and was running some xxr wheels that I had powder coated in 4 different colors. I sold them last week and now riding on some oem steelies with some winter tires.
Earlier in the month I was visiting a friend and woke up to a big dent in my driver side quarter panel and a broken taillight. Lucky he lives in bumb fuck so we knew who it was. About two weeks after that happend I had some ass hat smack the rear bumper and break the whole corner and the trim. No note or anything was left, so I had to eat that.
Not even 24 hours later I was out to dinner with a friend. We ended up getting a window seat right where I could see the car. I thought that was pretty cool. But I guess I would of rather had another seat so I didnt have to watch the asshole back up into my front bumper and bending my valance. GO ME!!
So I got tired of my ride being all beat up and decided to do something about it.
So this is how she started yesterday around 2pm. All ripped apart and washed up.

Tossed a guide coat on it to see where all the dents was at.

    Sanded and blocked out.

Then some primer. It was still wet in these photos.

All dry and now Im ready to start on the other panels.

    Thats all folks!!

Todays project(s) was to take two bad valances and make one good valance. And clean up the mess in the garage.
      I think I did well.

Well tonight I got some work done so I could get the car ready for paint as Im spraying it tomorrow night. ( body, doors, trunk and top cover. ) The garage will be closed monday. So I can let it sit inside till Tuesday morning with no worries of anyone fucking with it.
On to some photos, boring I know.

This was right after I rinsed the car from some wet sanding action.

This is with everything all sanded and ready to be masked up for some color.
The whole car will get a wax and grease remove scrub down before any color flys.

I figure I might as well strip the leather off this cover and spray that too.

I think Im going to spray the rockers white so everything blends in a little better. I got a idea for the molding under the doors also. I just got to talk to the metal fab shop to see what we can make up for it.
Check back for some painted photos tomorrow night. Its going to be exciting.

I wasnt going to paint the rear valance tomorrow because I wanted to strip it down and respray the undercoating as the shit that was on there was flaking from a respray at one point.
So I figure what the hell, cant take that long to do.

              Stripped.

              Sprayed.

Now this was one can of 3M's paintable undercoating. Im going to grab another can tomorrow and do another two coats before I mask it off and spray it. I believe Im going to do this all white also. If anything I can just shoot it black later.

                  No shit,,,lol

Well onto the photos. Everything laid out amazing other than the clear as I ran into a little problem with it and the gun. Trying to rush a little before the problem got worse caused a few drips in the clear here and there. No big deal as it will get a wet sand and more than likely another coat of clear.

                  Final sand with 600 wet.

The worst part of the whole job.

                  Some base.

                  Clear.

And the problem I ran into with the clear and the gun.

In the photo its hard to see, but there is a blue line in the clear. What happend was the clear reacted with the plastic on the gun and caused the color from the lid to drop into the clear which went onto the car.
I have about 5-6 spots like this. I hope they come out when I wet sand the clear. I already know I will be adding atleast two more coats of clear. As soon as I see this happen I stopped spraying any more coats and tossed the clear out.

Ight well I have a few more updates for you kids.
I got the body and doors fixed of the issues with the gun. These are the best photos I got after the clear dried.

Pics of the trunk and top cover getting work done, then in primer, then painted and installed.

Ive was suppose to have a set of fenders coming from another member down in FL. Some shit happend so I wasnt able to get them. I ended up picking up some non vert fenders and making them work. The blue passenger fender I got from Levent at Guten Parts. It had a dent in the front by the headlight, but I wasnt scared. The red driver side came from another member and it was in great shape. Sad I had to cut it up, but I kinda had no choice at this point.
I still need to weld the bottoms to the fenders and do all the putty work. I just wanted to get everything mounted and fitted up before I got to far with them.
                              So photos for your pleasure.

So starting tomorrow I need to bust my ass to get what I have left either painted or in primer this weekend.
The parts that are ready for paint right now is the rear bumper, gas door, both mirrors and maybe the front bumper. Im having issues with it since it got cracked when I was backed into the 3rd time. So I may need a new one as the plastic weld doesnt want to hold.
The front fenders, valance and hood all need putty work, welding and then primer. So I have alot of shit to do.
