Jep, the stiff suspension and setup has no use on wet, cant wait to test it on dry tarmac.

    Thanks!

I found these pictures and ordered fenders two minutes later..

They have rebuild the topmounts of the shocks in front to get it that low, i dont plan on doing that, but still. It looks nice!

started a topic 1978 VW Derby LS - The Rat

1978 VW Derby LS - The Rat

Some pictures of my new car. The Opel Kadett was sold last saturday.

Its a 1978 VW Derby LS with the 1.3HH engine, its the same engine that the polo mk1 gt came with.

It still has its original paint, the car has only done 74k kilometers (about 46k miles), the right front fender is changed and repainted. Its the one place the paint is bad. They are not making paint as they used to.

The car is fitted with front suspension from the polo mk2 og coilovers from TA-technix.

The enigine is worked over and the head is machined and prepared for a rally spec camshaft. The carburetors are from a 600cc "R" motorcycle.

    Some pictures:

The rims are for the moment 15s with 165/45-15 tires.

The plans for this car is wider fenders, wider rims and tires and possible fit a rollcage.

    What do you think?
