If you're ever interested in going lower in the front, you should look at the Air Lift Slam Series struts. I have them on my Mk4 R32 and they allow me to lay subframe on 18's (I'm notched) but they aren't 'jumpy' by any means.
Yes me to, but they are not fond of airride in my country..and also if you notch it they will give you a red card and you have to fix it..also in the region where I live the police station hunts cars like mine like we are criminals.. (I'm really not exaggerating)
So I think notching won't work for me..airride is illegal but not as a big problem as notching, when they see my airride, I will have to get it from under my car en go to the examination center.
The only solution I know is notching it, but I won't do that because in Belgium it's illegal and the cops love these things over here. Also for safety reasons I will not notch it.
its illegal to notch the frame? i would love to see them try and look underneath it all air'd out. lol i want you to notch it so bad..
Thanks alot!
Well the airride is more comfortable but it is also alot more 'jumpy'.. I bought the airride because I have to drive far distances, so not for going that 1cm lower.
I loved driving on coils more than I do on airride, but I broke my oil pan 2 times already, so it became time for airride.
No idea, but it's because the chassis hits the cardan.
It's not because the air can't get any lower. The only solution I know is notching it, but I won't do that because in Belgium it's illegal and the cops love these things over here. Also for safety reasons I will not notch it.
Do people research things in depth and/or take physics into account?
Your air tanks are dangerous. Flat plate tank ends are not safe, at all. You will not find a flat plate tank in production because it wouldn't fly for the DOT. I realize you or someone else probably made them and they are "custom" but some shit just isn't worth being the cool guy. Proper air tanks are a must.
