  • 2002 Ford Fiesta From the United|Kingdom.

    Hey,
Ive been following the S|W blog for quite some time now, and thought it only about time i aughter sign up to the forum.

Here's my 2002 Ford FIesta ZS ive been building for the last 6 months. Ive still got an awful lot left to do before it goes back onto the road, maybe another 6-7 months? But here's how its sitting on my driveway today...but please note, its still a very unfinished project!

    Thanks for looking...

Also reading Mike Burroughs blog "July 27, 2011 Sean & Kayla: Much More Than Just Cool Cars" - kind hit home for me about what the scene is all about and he pretty much nailed it for me in the words he used...If only the UK had a scene like that! . Anyway, i used a few words from his write up, aswell as my own on a picture of my own to use as my Facebook Display picture, i hope this is cool?

''Cars aren’t built on the internet. Anyone can watch a 10-minute Youtube tutorial and suddenly “Know what they’re doing” but at the end of the day,the only way to learn is to get out in the garage, get your hands dirty, and do it... You can do anything if you give it a
shot and set your mind to it.Your parents weren’t lying to you. It doesn’t take much more than heart and dedication to build whatever you can come up with. Detail is paramount, but what makes a car more impressive is doing all the work yourself. Its all about eating, sleeping, and breathing motor oil. Or wheel sealant. Or paint. Or something, either way. Its all about spending paychecks on chrome-dipping engine parts instead of fresh rags, Jewls & drugs.''

    Thanks, Ross.

Looks good, I hope one of the last plans is paint in one colour? Where are you in the UK?

Cheers mate, Yeah its all being painted one colour...and removing some of the 'tasteful mods' from the previous owner such as those red cold air feed trumpets and carbon wrapped exterior parts. Im in Hednesford; Staffordshire like...Only up the A38 from yourself by the looks of it

Yeah not too far away, be sure to check out the UK boards - under International at the bottom of the forum homepage.

Sounds like you have the right idea with it all though. I love those wheels.

Im not too sure on power outputs at the moment, its a 1.6 16v Sigma engine, with a 4-2-1 Milltek Manifold, Milltek Decat, Milltek full stainless system, 8.5mm Magnacor leeds, ZX6R bike carbs, Bog Bro's Inlet manifold, Megasquirt standalone management, Cusco oil catch tank & filter, Radtec header tank & a full Samco engine bay kit....Im hoping for around the 135*ish BHP, but in all honesty im not building the car for speed...So its no biggy to me!

Thanks again for all the feedback guys

I just found your build post while browsing, and thank you because I now know which wheels I want to get for my Focus build... not the same ones but yours lead me in the right direction

I am looking at the Schmidt Revolution TH-Line 2pcs. Time to start saving...
